We live in a simulation

We have reached simulated photorealism under 30 years.
How can people still deny that our universe is simulated?

Oh fuck I used to love those, great thread op

because if it is a simulation, it is most likely that we are generated on a flat plane and no one can accept flat earth. So i just blew your theory apart.

Muh simulation is the new God.

We have no idea what the universe is so we rationalize it with familiar concepts from science fiction. Just like ancient man rationalized nature with familiar human concepts.

it looks cartoony and shiny not really realistic.

OP is so fucking close to the red pill it's not even funny and the people running things not only understand what OP is saying, but they have it down TO A SCIENCE and they use it to control you all.

>photorealism
>obviously animated
>photorealism

This life is an illusion to prepare us for life with god.

kerbal space station

If it's all a simulation what happens if you die? Do you get a new life, or do you wake up?

what happens to a game when you turn the PC off?

If it is simulated it is complex enough to encorporate a globe

wow, really made me think.

But you dying wouldn't be equivalent to turning off the simulation, unless you're making that you're the only one that truly exists and everyone else are just simulated philosophical zombies.

my game is saved

Swallow your fedora BLACKPILL mate

It wouldnt need to be a globe, so you are just adding in your own fantasy to the simulation now.

Its a simulation. Nothing would actually exist. It wouldn't matter if there was a flat earth or no earth.
It would all just be prearranged electrons projecting an image into your simulated AI.

Yes, but then why are people so determined about the shape of the object we "exist" on? Also, the theory claims that endless amounts of simulations are running simultaneously, it would only make sense they they were generated as a flat plane and that space is just an illusion(why waste time constructing a seemingly infinite amount of galaxies and stars? Just a waste when you think about the fact that the simulation is just to see what HUMANS did. The problem with most people here is that they like to think they KNOW everything when in fact most of the shit that is thought to be fact has little to know backing and is more of a religion or brainwashing into belief of something that isnt exactly evident.

It doest matter what the shape is. It is rendered as you observe it. It could be flat as you only observe the area around you and would drawn on a flat plane but to conserve the finite resources of the program creating the simulation it would behoove the observable distance to be on a curve as to not render the entire plane of existence at any one point.

Not that it matters, its not real.
You, fact probably dont exist as well. you react to proposed stimuli that you then programmatically react to but fundamentally dont know exist and for the most part.

Imagine tetris with these graphics

I miss old toys. :(

your all just part of the simulation!

if Simulation and Reality are indistinguishable of what concern is the notion that it is simulated?

All the relevant questions that have been asked since the beginning of time remain with nothing to distinguish themselves but a single extra layer.

>atheists are so ardent that god is fake they come up with a wild scientific theory that is essentially saying there is a god.

But are you saved?

god+religion =/= higher dimentional creator

god+religion is autism on steroids.

Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis.

(You)

>I didn't like the church telling me what to do when I was 13 and I still harbor that sentimate rather than try to understand religion and its importance in grounding society around a moral identity on how to live

Staying mad that sister Mary-Clarence told you god hates porno is incredibly juvenile and shallow understanding of faith

faith=/=religion

If our world is a simulation prove it by flying without a flying machine

>no complex particle physics
>no accurate dust particles floating through the air, refracting light
>"photorealistic"

What I don't understand about the simulation argument is that a simulation has no intrinsic meaning. It only gains meaning to the person who codes it, otherwise the data could be interpreted in many ways. Computer graphics improving has nothing to do with a simulation. The characters in the simulation don't see the graphics, just the people who interpret the data as a simulation, unless you think the universe is a massive holodeck.

>photos capture particles

You can't alter the simulation which you are a part of.

Watched this in 144p

it turns on again when you sit back down at the computer

resolution wouldn't matter if it was all that you knew.

the simulation we're in could look like a playstation compared to the world that simulated it.

Kek

We live in a simulation because of God.

Those look yummy.
