Something I've always wanted to know is, from a Christian perspective anyway, where did all the pagans go when they died before Yahweh revealed himself to them? Did he purposely not reveal himself, have these people die then send them to hell? That sounds pretty fucked.
The afterlife as you know it doesn't exist, you only stay in the afterlife for a set number of year then you are reincarnated as one of you descendants. Welcome, we need more slavic pagans in the discord

I mean it in the sense that, as everyone is told at some stage, you have to be a christian to be "saved." But if Christ only existed roughly 2000 years ago and paganism is centuries older, where do Christians think pagans go? It's such a strange thought.

In a dream I had, Odin or someone similar was angry that I had needlessly sacrificed humans and "wasted their flesh" (something current me would never dream of doing normally) so he put a horrible winter into all the land and people around were visibly mortified by this.
He (God) then showed me a deep "ocean" of darkness and explained I would be spending quite a while there.
....WTF does this mean? I wasn't even remotely interested in understanding Norse mythology until this dream occurred a couple weeks ago.
Blake Powell
>yo guys let's talk about the Kali Yuga Definitely,
Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly. Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world. People will start migrating, seeking countries where wheat and barley form the staple food source. People will have thoughts of murder with no justification and will see nothing wrong in that. Lust will be viewed as socially acceptable and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life. Sin will increase exponentially, while virtue will fade and cease to flourish. People will take vows and break them soon after. People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs.
We are currently living in the Kali Yuga, the best way to live through it as people of virtue is to find like minded people, avoid this (((modern society))) and contribute to it's collapse. The Kali Yuga was destined to happen, so let's work to finish it faster.
Elijah Howard
The Kali Yuga, or the Iron Age is the last age of the world and the worst age.
Those with faith and virtue will find it extremely hard to live in this age.
But after this Yuga, this age, the world will become renewed and a new Golden age will sprout from the ashes.

My heathen greeting for I am old now
Wildfowl whispered on marshland like maidens around burning fires, The Norse winds breathing in my soul ‘Odin doth call’ Blood is the sweat of this iron sword; proud are war smiths I watch the coal biter musing in blood damp earth, Before a fire and smoke of tallow he dreams of war
Fill these horns to brim, for I shall drink to Odin’s law And eat I this meal of bread oyster and mussel shell I see heavens stained blood red clouds as we cross the rainbow crystal bridge, we shall enter Valhalla victorious once more,
Lo shall they bleed at shores blooded by iron the Saxons fall, Raged fires shall consume their roof as thunder of north comes forth You call us damned that which pierces dark shadows, We blow our horn in assembly before Odin warriors of the north
Settings suns shone red as quiet falls, serene I see Valhalla the goat and mead hall, roasting beef and herring I no longer fear drowning suns for the Valkyries sweet song I do hear Freyja shall breathe my new reign at dawn
The old wars are over but our fight shall ne’er end,
Lo I see my father

This Yuga Cycle timeline takes the beginning of the Golden Age to 12676 BC, more than 14,500 years before present, when the Great Bear was in the “Shravana” nakshatra (the Great Bear will advance by 3 nakshtras in every Yuga because of the 300 year transitional period). This agrees very well with the Indian tradition, since the Mahabharata mentions that in the ancient tradition the Shravana nakshatra was given the first place in the Nakshatra cycle. The timeline also indicates that the ascending Kali Yuga, which is the current epoch in which we are living, will end in 2025 CE. The full manifestation of the next Yuga – the ascending Dwapara – will take place in 2325 CE, after a transitional period of 300 years. The ascending Dwapara Yuga will then be followed by two more Yugas: the ascending Treta Yuga and the ascending Satya Yuga, which will complete the 12,000 year ascending cycle.

He has borne witness to our rites Drank of our wine Partaken of our smoke Trusted us with his mysteries

It depends on which denomination. In Catholicism, the noble pagans go to Limbo which is the outermost layer of hell. They are free from the wrath of God but also denied paradise. It is a place of neither punishment or reward. In other denominations it varies. Christ said that at judgement God will reward all according to their deeds, so I personally believe that pagans who were never exposed to christianity went to heaven as long as they did their best to live moral lives but the bad pagans (like the later roman emperors who were homos and pedos etc.) went to hell. So, there's an answer for you. Would you mind answering a question for me? Is there a valhalla for non-pagans?

>Is there a valhalla for non-pagans? Half of all Folk (Indo-Europeans, or just Germanics, it's iffy) go to Valhalla if they die in combat. Non-Indo-Europeans fall through the bifrost and burn to ash as they fall. The other half go to Folkvangr which is either a boat to colonize the rest of the universe with after Ragnarok or Freyja's navy to fight with during Ragnarok (It's iffy). Doesn't matter your politics or religion, if you die in combat you get in to one of the two.
There other afterlives (Or rather, places in the afterlife) that you CAN go to even if you die in combat, but Valhalla/Folkvangr are the ones you specifically asked about.

Interesting never heard of that before. Think of how many are falling this test. You can do it in many ways, as a celebration, with a priest, or by yourself with a ritual to the gods.

No, you don't have to do a new ceremony. It's symbolic.

Why not talk about the virtues of paganism instead of trying to shit on christians? And where do you get get that christianity is acceptant of homosexuality? I can post about 50 versus from the bible that are against it, how many verses from any pagan text that are against it? Research the Synod of Ancyra, where there were so many pagans to christian converts fucking animals they had to pass several laws against it.

Daily reminder that Eurofagans practiced "sacred prostitution."
Once a year your wife would go down to the temple of the love goddess and strange men from far and wide would pay the priest to fuck her. This is how they raised money for temple upkeep and sacrificial animals.
This is what you want to bring back. A religion that requires you let other men fuck your wife.
Your religion is literal cuckholdry. You are a cuck.
And that doesn't even get into the faggotry and pedophilia of your religion.
You are degenerate pedo faggot cucks. You don't belong here. Fuck off.

>So there is no afterlife for non-indo-europeans who did not die in combat? No, there are. Or there aren't. It doesn't really matter because they just don't get into Valhalla/Folkvangr. Asatru is a religion for the Indo-European folk.
>What other places are there in the pagan afterlife? Speaking about Asatru only, there's Hel which is at the bottom of the World Tree. It has layers. The topmost is fine and dandy and are pretty much just living in England; a little overcast and occasionally rainy but no eternal suffering or anything. As you go farther down it gets colder until you reach the very bottom where traitors, adulterers, oathbreakers, and murderers (This is a specific point relating to Germanic Warrior society, murder is a SPECIFIC offense, not just killing someone) and the like go. They get to stand around in knee high freezing water inhaling the poisonous breath of Nidhoggr, the dragon that gnaws on the World Trees roots. The dragon occasionally manages to make a hole into this layer of Hel and proceeds to chew on the people trapped within it.
Thor also has a hall, which is pretty much a big house in a large field near a forest. It only had so many homes rooms, so some think the souls there have been making the house progressively bigger as time goes by.
Njord (the god of the sea) has an afterlife presumably for sailors and the drowned but it's not well attested.
I've already spoken about Folkvangr.
Germanic society had another afterlife where, essentially, your corpse along with a number of possessions were interred into a large mound (A Barrow, in Anglo-Saxon Britain). Your soul then remained there until people basically forgot about you and stopped bringing your spirit mead and company at which point you either reincarnated or went on to another afterlife. Your soul would be able to interact with those who came by, namely by speaking to them in dreams if they slept over your barrow (2spooky).

RIGHT! So interesting question I'm hopping someone can help me answer here.
Can an Anglo with Southern European heritage practice Heathenry? Or should I stick to more southern variants (E.g. Greco-Roman). I've heard many different opinions on this matter and am curious about what the consensus here is.
Cooper Jenkins
Finally, there's reincarnation. Your soul (Or some portion of it) will be reborn as one of your descendents. Exactly HOW this works is murky but it's basically someone related to you. The pre-Christian Germanics were INCREDIBLY abhorred about what we would now call miscegenation, but for them it was anyone outside of their tribe. While all people are innately against miscegenation the Germanic tribes took it to a whole new level (There's records of women simply killing themselves en masse when they find out that their husbands are all dead and they have a choice between starvation and going to live with another tribe). Additionally, the pre-Christian Germanics were also noted for intentionally having large numbers of children.
This has lead some to speculate that they believed the reincarnation didn't work with descendants who weren't part of your Folk or that your soul couldn't reincarnate if you didn't have descendants for it to reincarnate into. This leads to the interesting notion of
>have lots of kids and don't fuck foreigners or your soul will get extinguished
But then that conclusion (Much like Folkvangr being a navy or colonization expedition) is one modern people have come to after examining attestations and evidence, we don't have anything explicitly saying either. For example, all we know about Folkvangr is that Freyja gets to pick half the dead, women who didn't die in combat get to go there, and that it's a big boat.
Jaxon Johnson

okay so let's just get one thing straight what we are talking here is esotericism. all the civilizations of the past had an amount of knowledge passed down from higher sources. this knowledge manifested in diverse forms because of cultural differences. what you should do is to pick up and discern were the dots tie together and understand the bigger picture behind these beliefs just doing ceremonies for the sake of acting is not any better than the semitic shit we have now

In Norse mythology Ginnunganap, the "Yawning Void" is the emptiness out of which all creation arose. People who eat Amanita mushrooms frequently report falling into a terrifying timeless spaceless eternal nothingness. It sounds like you had an encounter with Odin: I think the "wasted flesh" may describe your actions (or lack thereof) throughout this and other lifetimes. I would recommend working on reconnecting with your Ancestors and the Gods of your Folk and deciding how you are going to live heroically and make this world a better place and yourself a better person.
