TN reporting in. Spent the day with my grandfather. And some obligatory Elvis singing Kentucky Rain.
My great-grandparents were also neighbors and personal friends with Carl Perkins's parents. They got to see a lot of his stuff and met him many times. It's cool to know how TN has been such a big influence on American music.
That picture's incomplete. There's no nigger in it.
Lee was more of an American than the entire north combined.
Actually if anyone goes through the Memphis area I really recommend visiting Sun Studio. It's a tad pricey to get in but the amount of music history in that place in insane. Including of course Johnny Cash.
Howdy, Alabama reporting in.
How y'all boys doing?
Spend time with them while you can user. I regret never getting to spend more time with my grandfather or my grandmothers
My grandmother on my father's side died before I was born. Tough woman but worked herself to the grave. Grandfather on my dad's side died when I was young. Both grandparents on my mom's side are still alive and doing relatively well. They've been visiting a lot lately to get out of the house so I've been getting to talk to them more than usual.
Reminder that North Carolina does not deserve to be called Dixie.
I motion we replace it with Indiana.
>Butthurt SCfags at it again.
Nah. Besides those Midwest Reich guys might get upset if we claim Indiana.
NC fag here, God bless youtube.com
Louisiana reporting in
Eating some gumbo outside on my porch rn. Feels good.
Another early rocker from the former CSA. Waylon Jennings actually played bass for Buddy Holly.
Of course what's possibly the first rock song ever is this Hank Williams classic.
One of the first country singers I ever listened to was Johnny Horton. One of his most special performances was for the last living veteran of the Civil War as video taped here.
The only thing more disgusting than a Confederate flag defaced by the Hammer and Sickle is a Confederate flag defaced with a Swastika.
I think you've got that ass backwards shit for brains
They're both vile symbols of Socialist authoritarianism. un-American and most definitely un-Southern
You must not know much about natsoc doctrine.
Fuck off Marxist faggot Americans fucked you once and we will extinguish you where we find you.
To add some more Dixie flavor here's some Merle Haggard.
Dixie here, you guys are all right.
Where'd you find a gypsy boy?
Bit of Allman Brothers too. I love the musical legacy of Dixie. I love the many stories these people tell.
The problem with Chinese is your just hungry again 1 hour later.
You should have seen all the white trash that blew into Macon for Greg's funeral last month. Old grey dried up outlaws that looked like they had hep c and jaundice.
Not surprised at all. Allman Brothers was loved by everyone from hippies to bikers to rednecks.
Plus a little Willie.
pretty good, how is the great state of Alabama?
t. Yankee
Bunch of foreign bullshit, desu senpai.
why do yankees feel the need to remind southerners of our "shitty" states when here
if you don't like values and being /comfy/ fuck off
I just ignore them. It's pointless to argue with them anyway.
they spew vitriolic hate anywhere and everywhere they go. it's a part of the core yankee identity to spread their ideas and way of life anywhere and everywhere they go whether or not it's appreciated by the locals. arguably it stems from a long long european influence. they hate that we mostly decided to go our own way and truly want independence down here. they can't stand that we mostly reject their ways of life and can't accept that someone dsiagrees with them
