On a tangential note, what do you guys think about stuff like Atlantis and Fingerprints of the Gods? I think there's a lot of decent circumstantial evidence out there that civilization goes back much further than we previously thought (and that it might even be cyclical, ala hinduism). And that this civilization got destroyed by a comet impact that caused massive flooding and rising sea levels that we KNOW occurred.

I don't think there was a literal continent that was swept under the waves, because we'd be able to detect such a thing easily. I'm of the opinion that many myths may have at least been based in fact and were distorted over time as they became legend. For example, how many religions have similar flood myths.
So I don't think that there was a literal continent of Atlantis so much as there used to be a relatively advanced civilization that was swept away by the floods, and all remaining traces of it (besides certain megalithic sites, such as the sphinx) were lost. Underwater archeology is a field that's terribly lacking, and I'm not even sure how much would even be left down there if we did take underwater exploration/archeology seriously.
It goes by many names and many cultures have a similar tale. I think that this is because it's based in some kernel of truth.

Why do you guys force yourselves to 'convert' to paganism so hard? I don't think any actual pagan from several millennia ago ever said 'let's convert to this religion' and it's mostly because historical pagan religions are mostly as result of your tribe, your behavior, and your environment.
