Sure. In the leadup to the Munich Conference there had been incidents of general suppression of ethnic minorities in Czechoslovakia. That's all minorities, be they German, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian or Slovakian under a Czech dominated government. That's not to say there was no representation but the suppression of nationalism within minority groups was present. Czechoslovakia had basically inherited the same problem as its former master Austria-Hungary. Too many ethnicities with competing ethnic interests. Hitler had a plan to invade Czechoslovakia should a diplomatic decision not arise, Fall Grun I believe (Case Green) but the Munich Conference avoided that. Czechoslovakia was a strong central European state with a growing military industrial complex (That the Germans would put to use) and strong defenses. Additionally it was geographically speaking a spear right into the heart of Germany. You might not think this is a problem but it became a problem when Czechoslovakia signed defense pacts with France and the USSR. This gave permission for the USSR to start building airfields on Czech soil. In fact the USSR was prepared to go to war with Germany over Czechoslovakia but France would not agree and Poland and Romania would not allow passage of Soviet troops fearing that if the came then they would never leave (They were proved right six years later) Hitler demanded the Sudentenland, the German border regions of Czechoslovakia thereby taking away the Czechs natural defense, the Sudenten Mountains. He also demanded that the regions containing majority Hungarians and Poles be returned to their respective countries as well. Southern Slovakia with its Hungarian majority was annexed by Hungary as well as Subcarpathian Ruthenia which was actually Ukrainian (They actually declared themselves a republic but were invaded by Hungary) and Poland annexed a small border region which Poland and Czechoslovakia had gone to war over in the 1920's
