When it come to picking degrees men choose the highest paid specialisations. Men are over represented in 4 of 5 college majors, Petroleum Engineers, Math/Computer Science, Aerospace Engineers, Chemical Engineers. Only in Pharma are women the majority and even then it is slight.
On the other end of the spectrum women are over represented in 4 of 5 lowest paid majors, Psychology, Early Education, Human Services and Social Work the only exception is Theology which is male dominated.
