its quite strange amount of ex-east germans seem to have a weird form of nostalgia even those on the right wing could a german friend please explain why this is the case
also please explain pic related why do people who openly call themselves socialist get such a fair chunk of the vote of the vote in these regions no less?

I cant speak for democracy as a whole, I know other kruat is right about bureaucracy, its more about who right the bill then signs it, and it doesnt help that you live in one of the most free speech restrictive countries in the west. To be honest I have a bit of this nostalgia in me as well. Overall, current democracy is better than socialsm, but not in all aspects.
I'd rather be poor than 'enriched'. That being said the DDR was a failed state like every other leftist country.

Easy. East Germany was the least cucked country of our cucks, we didn't control them as much as Poland or Hungary.
