Hitler talks at length in table talks about why he didn't try to destroy Christianity and why he even encouraged it at times, he despised atheism more than Christianity, it's as simple as that. He didn't think it was feasible to try and make a new religion and alienate millions of Germans. Table talks isn't the only source that portrays Hitler as something of an anti-christian. Goebbels mentions it in his diary, Albert Speer mentions it in "Inside the Third Reich"
