The Czech woman then started yelling obscenities at her and then started punching the muslim woman's friend. All in front of little children.

The point was that not everyone wants to write out the full name of one's country.
In my country's case some use Czech (grammatically incorrect - not a noun), some Czech republic (which is kinda weird to write the full name) and others Czechia (because it's short and grammatically correct).
In Czech language it's much more simple:
Česko = Czechia (Czech - if you like incorrect form)
Česká republika = Czech republic
We call you Czechia (Чeхия) here and I think most slavic countries do. Czech Republic sounds retarded tbx.
