This is the cost of a rattlesnake bite in America.

At least the hospital gave the guy a fortnight to pay.

welcome to subsidized healthcare. if the gubberment be paying, charge as high a price as you can

if you don't believe you shouldn't sell your children into slavery to pay off your medical bills to Schlomo Shekelstein, then get out of me and my son's face.

KEK PRIDE WORLDWIDE! Oh say can you seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~

This is the cost of (((insurance))) inserting themselves into every transaction for every service the medical world offers, and the government allowing it.

Nigger didn't have insurance he should be a full timed employee with benefits shit aint that hard

Thats literally a corruption
You guys need to reform your checks and balances before touching the healthcare

shit i'd ask them to put venom back in!

Do all of you Brits believe this crap? "Fortnight to pay," obvious bullshit.

>No source
disregarded

>radiology
Nigger that's a cancer bill

>got bit by a rattle snake

WHAT HAPPENED

WERE YOU FUCKING WITH IT

Braj, I pay no more than Sixty bucks for a snakebite ER visit.
I will never pay more than $150000 in Medicare expenses.

Exactly. Just cook some meth and pay for it. What's the big deal?

WAHHHH I might die, and the government wont help me.
WAAHAHHH
Government must do everything for me at all times.
WAHHHHH

Usually insurance pays for most of the cost, but seeing as how the guy stayed in the hospital for 14 days, the cost should be relatively, albeit not that high.

Pretty much this.
The hospitals started offering more and more specialty treatments, so insurers started requiring more paperwork from hospitals. This causes hospitals to hire more admin staff and they have to raise prices to account for these extra costs.
The insurers started requiring more paperwork as the costs went up.
Hospitals had to hire more admin staff and raise prices as the paperwork went up.
This cycles will continue until we fix the system.
A study of identical procedures in two hospitals located in similar areas, but one in US, one in Canada, showed that 40% of the price increase on the American side was directly because of administrative costs.

Radiology covers all imaging using radiation. Probably gave the guy a CT scan to see how bad the hemorrhaging was, not really necessary but a nice additional thing to charge someone with.

slide thread this shit gets postred all the time with a different 'medical problem' sage and report please.

brb would rather be a kike and not pay for top tier medical care and die from a rattlesnake bite than just work out some payment of like $200 a month for the rest of my life

>July 2015

But I thought Obama fixed healthcare? I thought now everyone could easily afford insurance that was good and covered everything? I thought it was all perfect now...? Did Obama lie to us??

No actually it is the cost of government inserting itself into the private sector. You do know the the whole mass insurance benefit in the work place was because of FDRs wage cap. In order for companies to attract the skilled workers they needed they had to offer something. Then later the government added Medicare, and dictated prices they would pay, so then the providers had to raise the prices to get their money back, and that is why we have this mess. Again thank you Demon rats.

Land of the fee. Home of the slave.

...

I am still amazed at how few people know about how the U.S. healthcare system works, but are so quick to criticize it. I've worked in healthcare for a long time though so I guess it's just a no brainer for me. Here's some key financial points for anyone who is actually interested in talking about the U.S. healthcare system:

- Every price can be haggled. What do you think the insurance companies do when the hospital contacts them? The whole reason why bills are so high is because they haggle for pennies every single time they are billed.

- You can never be turned down for any medical procedure. Can't pay? Fucking tell the nurses and doctor that and nine times out of then they will outright waive your fees on the downlow. This is so common we actually overprescribe certain meds so we can have nurses "accidentally" leave them in the room with a patient on their way out.

- Got stuck with a huge bill and it went into collections? Give them $20 and a note saying that's all you can pay. Might take a couple times but eventually they will drop all debt against you

He'll never have to pay that much.

1. Hospitals overcharge because of the number of non-payments, so it's a way for them to recoup money.
2. Rich people donate to hospitals every year to pay off people's bills. You know why? Tax deductions. This would be a bill ripe for such a contribution.

Either way, he'll never have to pay that amount. They know it's bullshit. If I had to guess, it was probably some rare kind of snake with a venom that had to be flown in.

Better than paying taxes and then dying in a hallway.

>socialism

So how does this work, say im a neet faggot with no insurance and my m8 Barrys rattlesnake bites me, can i just refuse to pay it?, would i go to jail?

Why didn't you just suck the venom out yourself? lmao idiot

This. It's all tax writeoffs and shit anyway. Hospitals are too big to fail, just like banks.

Snake bite?
Sure we'll save your life.
But we own your house now.

This person was obviously not under any insurance program and was choosing to pay the tax instead

Yeah and if the guy in that pic has insurance (like he's now required to have by law) he's not paying more than 60 bucks (ish) either.

If he doesn't have insurance than lol he's fucked.

You what? That just means some form of imaging was performed.

They will put the venom back inside you.
True story.

Yeah, the corrupt people make the rules and control everything. Nothing short of something crazy like an armed insurrection will fix a fucking thing.

cbsnews.com/news/rattlesnake-selfie-results-in-a-153k-medical-bill/

It's real.

>criticising horrible American healthcare system is 'slide'

It's amazing how many people don't know any of this

everyone involved in that bill knows the hospital isn't getting anywhere near what that balance is

I love our healthcare system.

Americans actually believe this shit.

>It's all fine though because doctors and nurses break the law to deliver healthcare secretly.

Kek, face it yanks, universal single payer health-care is superior - every meaningful study comes to this conclusion. It's unbelievable that so many of you shill against your own interests because you're scared of 'le big bad socialists'.

but... but... why would that person do that? I thought it was very possible to find a cheap plan that covered every possible problem you might ever have! Why would that person choose to pay a penalty AND not have health insurance?

I just don't understand.... Obama said he fixed this all for us... He said it was perfect now... He said insurance was cheap and plentiful, and anyone could buy it...

So why didn't this person have insurance...? Why?

Seems like a really bad system honestly

I have Kaiser and it does not work this way.

>Morphine, THC, and Chloroform.
JESUS CHRIST.

He's alive isn't he? That's the cost of saving his life, why does this bother people?

If you don't want to get in these situations, buy goddamn insurance faggots

>Americans actually believe this shit.

Whats to stop a subsidized organization from charging as much money as they can to make maximum profits? You really think if a restaurant was subsidized steaks wouldn't go up to $300+?

My uncle got bit by a rattlesnake about a decade ago and his total bill was in the ~30k's range. Those viles are like 2k a pop and he went through about 20 or so. His insurance covered it all, but they told him to cool it on the injuries because he has a yearly limit of like 100k or something.

He didn't have insurance and he put off going to the hospital until he was almost dead (they had to pump him with 43 doses of an obscure form of antivenom. The antivenom costs the hospital 2,500 - 3,000 dollars per dose so obviously the patient is going to pay more, especially when he's uninsured.

Nope. Your credit will be absolutely fucked, though, and you'll probably have to file for bankruptcy.

It's fake

This. The military also pays insane amounts of money for things that shouldnt cost much at all ie: nuts, bolts, and every other fucking thing is 100x actual cost.

>and the government allowing it.

Why don't you niggers change it? Aren't you a democracy? Or are you a nation of overweight, underpaid, lazy ass apolitical bitches?

Yeah that analogy definitely works with regards to medicine. That's why every doctor in Australia is scrambling to be a Bulk Biller.

Fuck off you mong, you have no idea what you're talking about.

>Be American
>Be an insurance-less nigger

You get what you deserve

sexy

just dont pay its easy :^)

>fortnight
Please go away Nancy-boy

It costs millions. Jews gon jew

>Europoors jelly at our superior care

Just stay in your commie shitholes and refrain from commenting you fucking plebs.

What's that?

That's the good medicine right there.

>amerifats will defend this

SKILLFULLY COMBINED

But under Obamacare it's illegal not to have health insurance.

How on earth could this have happened? In 2017 no less.

Dont alot of Burgers drive over to Leafland for healthcare because its like a quarter of the price over there?

>haggling for healthcare

I don't have insurance and I didn't pay the fine. Fuck the Feds.

I like how this was legal until niggers got addicted to it

now i understand why americans say they need at least 3 millions dollars to retire without problems, they are always one mistep of falling into bankruptcy

...

It's this.

Cancer's a bitch

>tfw no health insureance

Should I get it?

thats why you never give your real name or SS # in the ER

If by "a quarter" you mean "zero", then yes, you're right.

>Dont alot of Burgers drive over to Leafland for healthcare because its like a quarter of the price over there?

No.

Medical condition and ability to pay for any treatment that may be required are examined at the border and grounds to refuse entry. We turn burgers with medical issues back at the border every day because they have a serious medical condition and no meaningful way to pay for treatment if anything were to happen while they're here (not enough private funds or insurance coverage). Even if you receive treatment while you're here, you'd also get a bill (that follows you home).

Canadian health coverage is only for Canadian citizens and permanent residents who reside here more than half the year.

Just read it. Dude had a rare cancer that resisted chemo. They irradiated the fuck out of it and cut the rest out. Then he's got skin and bone grafts to heal it up.

Neat.

Don't worry. He had the best doctor his money could buy.

Won't they check your ID?

Especially if you're presumably unconscious

>>I am still amazed at how few people know about how the U.S. healthcare system works, but are so quick to criticize it. I've worked in healthcare for a long time though so I guess it's just a no brainer for me. Here's some key financial points for anyone who is actually interested in talking about the U.S. healthcare system:
>Proceeds to lay out a 10-step plan on how to cheat the system, which professionals actually scam their workplace, which commisar(s) to bribe and how best to avoid giving your real name in case they have an inquiry with the NKVD
Ok. Good, good. You come, we treat, you pay, OK? GOOD, GOOD. OK! IF NOT MAYBE IN POCKET PAY, OK? OK, GOOD! YES OK GOOD! BEST CARE.

jfc just give all of the money you'd spend on that to your kids and then go blow your own brains out on top of Stephen Colbert's car.

So uh, how the fuck does a human let the problem get to that point before seeking help or suicide?

well don't have ID on you when you go in, but yeah i guess they would if you had ID on yourself.
It is not against the law to not show ID.

>mind instantly goes to a shitty stand up comedy bit
Underage b&

>Obamacare works according to dems

Dammit. First time I get a get and it's wasted.

it's the same here. we pay insane service contracts for parts so that in theory 30 years from now if we need a particular bolt for a aircraft part we can get it next day delivered. I heard the minimum supply charge is $10,000 here, so there have been times where just a few small parts were needed but we've had to order an additional $9950 worth of things we didn't even need

illegals get it free though

In many European countries it's an offence not to carry ID in public.

>here's your bill
>I'm not paying that
>b-but
>I'll give you 500 dollars max
>o-okay

It's literally that simple, it's what your insurance company does.

Check'm. If you know it won't ever be paid charge to the moon and then pretend it's actually a loss for the hospital. "uh, we need more money, goy."

Don't forget that illegal spics drive prices up as well

Going scorched earth on that tickly throat.

Why don't you ask this guy?

m.liveleak.com/view?i=f29_1429839216

this is a retarded system.
they will threaten to send bill collectors after you and probably sell your debt, which could result in your wages being garnished or property confiscated if they take you to court.
Sorta. Subsidized care probably isn't offered to Americans like it is with Canadians in Canada, so you will have to pay out of pocket. Mexico is the biggest medical tourist destination we have.

I'd wear a phantom of the opera mask. Damn, this dude had a rough go of it. Too bad we can't divert half the military budget to curing cancer.

It's kind of ironic as little Charlie Gard is left to die by the Bongistan Healthcare System, Mohammad here is criticizing ours.

If I got bit by a rattlesnakes, my total cost would be $2100 - $100 for the ER visit, and $2k to max out my deductible.

In exchange for me taking my own responsibility, I don't have to pay VAT on literally everything I buy, drive a 3-wheeled car powered by a lawn mower engine, or pay 4x the actual cost of hydrocarbons to subsidize the propaganda arm of the BBC.

I guess all countries and their citizens are free to pick their poisons.

'skillfully combined with a number of other ingredients ' goyim.
Please buy my snake oil.

The US basically did, since the 60s. Death rates have barely budged overall

id do that if it were my wifes son

And the authorities can ask your papers at anytime right?

if your so responsible why did you fuck with a rattlesnake?

they literally rattle and try to warn you away
