Even though, similarly to Germany, they got their asses kicked the fuck out by US and the allied forces and even though they comitted a number of crimes against humanity on the territories conquered by the Japanese Empire before and during the war, they still managed to keep their heads up and preserve their national idenity along with strong cultural nationalism and patriotism, while at the same time Germany has lost it's pride, national idenity and has sunk in degenerate white guilt which is why they furiously started to invite brown people that are fucking Germany up for decades now.
The difference is that they didn't killed jews and that saved them.

First, the historical situation is completely different from the german one. NSDAP took power in 1933 and was only in power for 12 years after a brutal fight against communists, socialists and democrats. Japan did not go through any socialist or marxist revolution, which Germany did in late 1918. So destroying the national-socialist state would obviously empowered back those who were in charge prior 1933.
In Japan, there were nobody to achieve anything similar. The communists were the only structured movement and it was marginal.
Then, the japanese culture is highly hierarchical and value social discipline. Any form of civil unrest is seen as a threat to the society by the man of the street. The japanese mindset is based on a cyclical worldview. Progressivism does not fit this mindset because it is linear.
Racially speaking, no minorities were here to use marxism or socialism for their own purpose, which the jews did in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. One exception though after the war : the koreans who were recruited by the CIA to run parts of the underworld scene.
The Allies did not and could not change the social or cultural structure, only influence it, mostly in their realm of activities : the military and nation-building programs. Whatever a constitution may say, what counts is the people who uses it. As the japanese elite was not infected by marxism nor judaism, or in a very limited fashion, Japan did not experience the degeneracy of the 60's that the West went through. The western influence was even beneficial to Japan in the economic field.
Now, Japan will rebuild its military under the US new strategy against China and will benefit from it, exactly as Poland is doing right now.
