Reason 1.
Charlies condition deteriorated and he suffered seizures (due to increased swelling in the brain).
Reason 2.
The American doctor repeatedly refused to come to the UK to assess the child until a court demanded that he came and asses the child.
Reason 3.
The American doctor was essentially a snake oil salesman that sold the parents false hope, his nucleoside treatment hadn't even been tested on mice.
The baby had no chance to live.
Read the case.
Too sick to travel, as said before the American doctor was told to come here, he wouldn't because his treatment was a false hope for shekels, all called out by numerous doctors.
