In the South, it's not about the cities, it's about the amazing, sleepy small towns where everyone is friendly with one another, willing to help out in times of need, and aren't afraid of tradition and community.
Sure, the South has some great cities, but the real charm of the South lies in our rural areas.

Texas and Oklahoma are completely Southern, but it is also its own ranching culture. It has a completely different geography so of course it won't have the traditional cotton farming and lots of rain like the rest of the South. It has its own cattle ranching culture made for the geography. The first cattle ranchers were vast majority Southerners though, so, a lot of their culture is very similar to traditional Deep South as well as the Appalachian culture (a mix of both)

I hate all cities desu senpai, the only thing they are good for is providing you with enough with a job. When I think about what "the best city" is, I think about proximity to thinks I really want to do, lack of traffic, and how white the whitest school district is

I'm not very familiar with the northern parts of Mississippi or Alabama.
I'm a Coast Boy. Mississippi's Gulf Coast region is actually pretty nice, plus we have some pretty fun casino/resorts. We still don't have nearly as much as before Hurricane Katrina, though. Our area was absolutely devastated following the storm, but we'll never stop working to come back bigger and stronger than ever!
I have family and friends from the upper parts of Mississippi though. As long as you avoid our capital city (Jackson) and the delta (niggers everywhere), there's a lot of really nice little towns to choose from.

I would imagine Long Beach or Pass Christian would have some pretty good districts. There's some nice private schools.
Avoid Biloxi and Gulfport they are full of niggers.
Ocean Springs, the town I grew up in, is 85% white and has a GREAT school district, but it's in the central/eastern part of the coast. If you are looking for a town to raise kids, Ocean Springs is a fine place. Anything west of Gulfport is nice as well. Gulfport/Biloxi have tons of jobs but I would avoid putting your children in their schools, and if you're Catholic there are some VERY nice private schools on the coast to send your youngin's to.
I plan to have 6+ kids so private is probably out of the question. I will look in the Southwest area. I would probably have to commute to the Northshore because there aint many real estate jobs in Mississippi

Private Schools in the South are probably your best bet for a high quality education.
Even though your child will be learning about the math and science behind the resurrection, they'll come out school with a greater grasp of English and a greater appreciation for American culture. Not pop culture bs.

Commuting isn't too bad down here. We have a 6 to 8 lane (3/4 lanes each way) interstate that runs along the coast that never gets too terribly congested and highway 90 runs the entire length of the coast near the Gulf, and since there isn't a whole shitload of people compared to other areas of the country traffic is never too horrible.

Oh, and if you move to the coast you should look into fishing and boating. This is one of the best areas for that. You can go out to the islands and camp and just have fun in a boat, and if you're into fishing we have some FANTASTIC fishing out on the Mississippi Sound.
If you like being on the water you'll LOVE living down here.
You can even go to Ship Island and see an old civil war era fort!

I live in the South so I know how it is, there are still lots of good public schools you just gotta live in an affluent community. I plan to have 6 kids at least so I don't want to pay 480,000 for their total education when I can buy a house in a 80-90% school district for that much

As an unbiased outside observer, I can assure you that the Texan flag is the best out of all US states by far and that most US state flags look like total ass. This includes Arkansas, the Carolinas, Louisiana, Virginia, and yes, Tennessee. Sorry, not sorry, just speaking the truth here. Alabama and Florida are alright, I guess, can't really go all that wrong with a palette swap of the St Andrew's Cross. Mississippi barely gets a pass. Finally, the Rebel Flag looks better than that of any US state or the Stars and Stripes itself.
