That's roughly $1.066 Million per mile. That's a hell of a lot of concrete.
When does the actual construction start?
September.
huzzah
For perspective that's about how much illegal immigrants cost us for ONE WEEK.
Not sure
But he talked about it in Ohio and promised there'd be a wall so eventually I think we will definitely get a wall
I want the wall to be a wonder of the world
And that's just a down payment. I'd imagine that the full wall will cost a bit more, but it'll be worth every penny.
I used to live in Del Rio, Tx. We NEED this fucking wall.
good
I live in San Diego, I hope they bring security cause you know damn well that AntiFa groups are going to harass construction workers and block roads all the way to Arizona.
Yep. And the bat crazy lefties say a wall is too expensive BAKA
Meanwhile we pay 100,000 per sex change and whatever abortions cost
I believe you, but is there proof?
I recall 3 billion being the estimated cost a few months ago
Anyone else remember this?
>Ladders and Tunnels
You keep hearing liberals say this when they scoff at the wall, but if you real the entire proposal they're well prepared for both.
They're not just going to build a $1.6 BILLION dollar wall be oblivious to the idea that Mexicans will try to dig under it.
Still has to pass the senate
Which it will do easily.
how many animals will this fuck over
just pay troops to sit there and give them very loose rules of engagement
no it won't.
Republicans don't have a supermajority and the senate is much more moderate than the house.
Daily reminder, it's a down-payment and none of it will go towards an actual new wall. It's going to repair and replace some of the fences/levees. only a small stretch of land in Texas is being considered for building new parts of the levee (won't happen most likely)
this is smart in that they can say "hey we're building a wall right now!" while not actually building a wall and only spending about 1.6b out of 788b budget. the normies and plebbitors from the_donald can chalk it up as a win and it strengthens our base.
t. PETA
Not likely. The money for the wall got tacked onto an existing bill, but with this new development no Senate Democrat is going to vote for it, and spending money- especially $1.6 B, has never been popular with republicans.
Not passing.
Libdicks on suicide watch.
THAT WALL IS COMING UP, DICK HEADS
The Israeli wall has seismic detectors and most store bough ladder extend to about 50ft with truck ladders going past 100ft. Mexicans have't really used the expensive hardware because cartels are the ones with the big bucks for tunneling. Border patrol isnt going anywhere so ask these naysayers if they think the wall will be unmanned.
Also using a ladder to get on top of the wall is one thing, getting down is another.
>no it won't.
Yes it will. You're just pushing liberal damage control.
Republicans love the wall. You have no idea what you're talking about.
>they're supplying money to build the wall, but they're not actually building the wall.
They don't use tunnels to smuggle people, they use tunnels to smuggle drugs. And once we limit the amount of ways they can come in, it's much easier to focus on smaller things such as tunnels.
Then you have seismic radar and GPR. Technology exists to help us here.
Also, because some determined spic is going to dig his way here we have to open the border for them all?
ah yeah we getting futuristic. powered by the sun.
>reading comprehension
do you actually think fence = wall?
It's a tiny piece of a giant budget bill. As such it will only need 50 votes. You're right that the Senate is much more moderate, but the wall is broadly popular on the right and RINOs will be unlikely to torpedo a budget bill over a small amount for the wall.
Shouldn't they get the illegals in the country out before sealing it off?
its not for the wall though, its for the already per-existing fence.
