Bend over you nigger

Act civilized and Godly and don't lose it over things that don't matter in the greater scheme of things

It simply means do not respond to evil with evil.

In B4 10,000 commentaries on whatever else.

DAVID SEAMAN said there was a pedogate related arrest today in CA very high up official

it's a gay sex refrence

Make your enemies look terrible, win the long game through martyrdom and the better argument, always maintain the higher ground and if they try again, its time to see if they too can turn the other cheek.

You can go to the bible and pick whatever attribute you want Christ to have.

Basically if you read that entire passage he's saying that you will get infinitely more by following the laws of God than you will by doing what makes you happy. It's actually very life denying. The point of it is that you shouldn't care about losing things, dying, or being taken advantage of because so long as you follow the laws of God your reward in heaven is infinitely better than anything you could get on Earth.

I read something saying the Aramaic to Hebrew to English translation is not perfect and he actually meant fight back... saw it around here about a month ago...

good shit

this was meant as, turn the other cheek when trying to get your family or other people to become christians. it had nothing to do with wartime or enemy combatants that were violating your rights or threatening you with an army LOL,

Yeah It actually means that turning the other cheek would force a Roman to use his open palm against a jew to slap him again, thus signifying equality, a revolutionary thing at the time.

Also Jesus was a blond haired blue eyed Anglo or whatever bullshit the retards on here think.

Share your standard of living if it exceeds that of those alive at the same time, including but not limited to starving Africans, Muslim refugees, and Hispanics. Any good Christian should be willing to open their, heart, wallet, and home for them.

amen

...

He meant this.

Google something along the lines of
>I came not to give you your peace but to give you the sword. The sword being the way of Christ.
It's only violent to the extremes. Of course God wants your self preservation, it's written into you.

But still means receiving a hit and against what most people believe still means simply making your enemy look terrible.

Christianity is about accepting some backwards steps exist which then allow you multiple steps forward.

Also, Jesus as Greek isn't a bad idea since Luke's gospel makes him look almost purely a Greek monotheist. He wasn't, of course, but it makes more sense than black Jesus.

It basically means that the infringing party will get what's coming, and therefore that introducing your own infringements on the situation will not bring the justice you are looking for. I think it kinds of ties into being persecuted for the sake of justice

"if you smite your enemies back, they win"

>What did Jesus actually mean by this?

He meant the Jews are murderous barbarians and they should stop murdering each other for their phony god. The pagan state owns the divine monopoly on violence but the Jews (and now "Christians" and Muslims) pretend they have divine authority to commit violence.

Implying the Romans were terrorists and not a relatively disciplined state.

shame is a powerful tool. People don't tolerate someone being abused; you confuse your enemies when you behave in an unexpected way.

The worst thing you can do is misunderstand this to mean: be a pushover.

>culture where you're absolutely forbidden from ever touching another person with your left hand because no such thing as toilet paper
>culture where slapping is a common and routine, if petty and rude way to insult others and assert authority over them
>waiting in line for the camel bus
>accidentally step on old man's tunic
>old man spins around and slaps your cheek
>how do you respond to remind him to mind his manners too?
>do you go apeshit and beat him to death and get crucified for murder?
>or do you be cheeky?

Figure it out.

It doesn't mean you can't defend yourself from serious threats, it's about not escalating small things.

Tl;dr

Jesus is basically saying, "Don't act like a nigger."

It's in reference to insults.
I'm sure if someone did assault you he'd want you to stab him to death with the sword he urged you to buy.

Ere ya go

(((Jesus)))

Thanks
