HFGCS communications are sent to aircraft and airbases (and possibly missile silos but we don't know for sure).
Skyking is Priority 2 traffic. It's meant to make sure no one interrupts the call while urgent traffic is sent unless someone has Priority 1 (Emergency) traffic.
The codes could mean anything from sending a tanker to a certain grid square to refuel a Viper to telling a spy plane they need to make a course correction.
