It's about that time.... why aren't you in college?

>Graduates make more than anyone else
>Do fun things like make video games as a career
>Immense level of knowledge after you graduate
Give me one reason you're not in college user

inb4hrrdurr it costs 50k of debt I'm screwed for life even though a 2 year nurse will make that in their first year of work

fucking waste of fucking time

You ever feel like life isn't good enough? Need to get away and stop working for years while doing something engaging? Go to college and not work or pay a dime until 6 months after graduation.

How is it a waste of time? Even neckbeards make like 70k after college. Tell that to your minimum wage job.

>>Do fun things like make video games as a career
Just fucking kill me. Someone take me out of this life.

I am. It kinda sucks, but whatever. Hopefully there will be a decent job for me on the other end.

Watermelon

you dumb as fuck. if you want to spend your life reading sshit you don't want to read then go ahead. 99% of the things you learn is bullshit, if you really want to improve be a teacher for yourself

I had a shitty childhood and did poorly in all of the many high schools I attended.
I have very high SAT scores (top 2% except the math section bottom 50% because I had a spic math teacher who barely spoke english and didn't teach me the equations) but that's not enough for a Uni.
I envy the normies in college.

because I graduated with a useless degree

I'm doing a job training first and then go to college to increase my chances for a job by 100 %.

>immense level of knowlegde

HAHAHAHAHAH

this

i have a 2 year associates in computer networking and i'll have a bachelors in computer science in a couple more years. hopefully this shit isnt a meme

the most successful people i have met did not go to college/university. they knew how to save doing shitty jobs while examining the business model of their employer and then after getting a loan set up a shop. one such guy left school at 16, worked in a coffee shop learning the ins and outs and 8 years later setup his own shop. he now owns 6 cafes, each bringing in about 10k per month.

Your "degree" not worth the paper its written on.

When you have "Affirmative Action" handing out diplomas to Niggers.

> I had a spic math teacher who barely spoke english and didn't teach me the equations)

US, everyone.

Whats wrong? I hope you dont make fucking mobile "games" - then you really should kill yourself.

>I don't have a GED
>There is no state support for tuition and community college is over $10k a year
>I'm in my mid 30s and far too old to start from the absolute bottom unless I willingly want to face age bias/discrimination
>I don't have a good outlook on the economy as I had friends graduate in time for the 2008 recession and fear another one is imminent

I'll add that my gf spent $20k in loans to get certified to be a cosmetologist and is only making minimum wage+whatever tips she can shake out of people.

I've been working at Walmart for over a decade and currently making $14/hr. This is the best I will ever have it as I've seen enough boom and bust cycles to stick with the sure thing. I just hope when I die in a few years that next life I'm born into wealth, instead of having to financially support deadbeat folks until I was almost 30.

It would be great if you had any legitimate advice to give on these matters.

Dat feel when you ride through the neighborhood and you have a degree and all of the niggers still work at McDonalds

Sure.

A buddy of mein in high school dropped out, heroin addict
Three years later we LARP him into getting a GED. His girl attended uni at 16 while he was 21. He eventually got off his arse and went to uni after getting his GED. He's now on year 2 in Chemistry.

Try attending a college and get a 2 year. I went to college for 2k a year and normally it was 25k. It's all about scholarships.

So why dont u teach math yourself/take a course on it and retake the exam?

Your girl will make more money in the future.

Try joining the Army maybe and let the GI bill pay for your college.

It's worth the debt user because you swing back with fists full of cash within the first year. Buy a nice home, nice car, have kids and galore plus be an intelligent mate.

Talking bout shit, one of my mates from HS got 10 points higher than me on his test and got into a state college and they refused me. Don't let shit like that get you down.

fucking recruiters on Sup Forums who would have known

>didnt go to college
>Welder
>make 70+k a year
>worked in mongolia, russia, japan
>22 and own a house
>So qualified can work anywhere in the world
>get bitches on regular.

Because the world needs more builders, fishermen, engineers. Real fucking jobs for men, not pussy liberal college shit.

Kek when I was in HS I almost joined the Corps and the recruiter had the biggest ass. I'd get out of class early, take a test, get driven home and smoke weed before school ended. Funny shit man, my girl at the time was a 8/10 asian. She's a porn star now LOL.

Enrollment low this year, Schlomo?

what's her porn name

None of your business mate

How the fuck do you become an engineer without a degree, is that even possible.

not at all, engineering is one of the few jobs that you absolutely NEED a degree for

>one year left of med school
>specialized in 6 years
>absolute average is 111k per year if i stay in low paying sweden

>111k
>low

>posts picture with the reasons why college is bad
>prooceds to ask why is it bad
This can only happen on Sup Forums.

Their tax rate is worse than ours.

Anyway here's my story:
Be ausfag
> Work at maccas while studying my nursing degree, on 26/hr
> Get promoted to manager while in my third year of nursing, 28/hr. Work my ass off like never before. Come home exhausted and stressed every night.
> Tfw your American buddies are on 8/hr or less for this shit with really only their rent, fuel, and utilities being cheaper.
> Finish nursing degree. Lucky enough to get a grad year. As a grad nurse I'm on 24/hr to literally wipe asses, insert catheters, wash people, and make beds.
> Life expenses happen and the promise of the later ~35/hr proves too elusive.
> Get a job at Metro, stand on barriers to open the gates for cripples and fare evaders for 29/hr. Never been payed more or worked as easily in my life. No degree required.
> Get a promo and move into the office. Sell tickets and watch Netflix/shitpost for 35/hr.
> Get promo again to signaller. On 41/hr to fiddle with track points and watch Netflix/shitpost. No degree required
> In debt 17k for something I'll now never use. Still cant afford the median million dollar house price because they're all owned by boomers and chinks.

Smart people go to college. Smart people are often the most succesful. College itsepf doesnt't make you smarter but ia rather just an indication of high iq.

I fucking hate nursing 'education'. Both the degree and diploma can be compressed to 2 yrs and 12 months respectively. Plus you just made an excellent point that there are high paid jobs that don't require degrees.

Exactly, get a trade with no quarter million debt shackle

Quite possibly true, but I know heaps of smart guys who are NEET's. Smart people may indeed go to college/uni but only people that are able to self motivate will pass it or do well in it.

As for actually doing well in it:
In my 10 years of study at a university level which involved physiotherapy, general science, Japanese, nursing, and now criminology; I'd argue that if you have a good memory then you'll do very well as a minimum.

Half my degree was spent learning about SJW shit. I'm not kidding. That's 1.5 years learning about cultural sensitivity and leftist philosophy. Even the relevance of Aboriginal disadvantage and indigenous health was basically glossed over in favour of accommodating different faiths.

If you must study nursing, dont go to Australian Catholic University. Learnt literally 100% of what I know during work placements. Plus their tutors are absolute garbage.

Maybe he means the guy that drives a train.

You doing social science too bruz?

Its called a TAFE cert you dumb cunts

I was a useless NEET who would literally play video games from sun-up to sun-down. I pirated games and played emulators so I only had to spend my neetbux on food and Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Eventually got a job delivering mail at the post office, lost ~100lbs, made it into management and now I'm doing better financially than any of my former friends/peers. Wish I could go back though. Being a virgin NEET was way better. Pussy and 80k/yr aren't worth the soul crushing reality of wasting all your free time working when you could be at home playing Vidya and watching anime all day.

I'm in university, currently finishing my bachelors in STEM. I joined a fraternity and I'm banging a sorority girl. Life's good!

Oh no mate, I fully agree. I finished the diploma very recently and I see the ACU students at my work quite often. They legit just stand around when there is no immediate patient care to do. They never offer to help other nurses and are rarely proactive.

Because nursing education has soooo many goddamn women in it, its no wonder they fill it with time wasting SJW shit and abo/boong educations.

Going to go back this semester. Kid is finally in school so my days are free.

God, to be amused by such simple things. I wish I could go back to those days.

>
haha yeah, work placements and pharmacology, mostly. Anatomy and physiology is also pretty important.

I'm assuming you're in the real world? What's it like?

I highly doubt I'd qualify
for anything being a cishet white male with no interests or dreams/career goals.

Ah I am just a cynical old prick these days. 31 now and women and fucking cease to be a major issue because I focus on making money and remain and getting physically fitter.

There is always pussy around and a lot of young blokes make the mistake of thinking its not always available. There is more value in investing in yourself then chasing heaps of pussy.

This is the best red pill of all. Or maybe it's a 30's thing. The only thing that changes is the quality if pussy - my wife's is loose and has barely any friction, and my ex-AP's is tight and previously chaffed my cock.

If a person goes to college, they really need to research the job market to better choose their degree and make sure it has realistic non saturated job field.

I got my bachelors degree in biology and after all of that and 30k of debt I was working in a factory lab making 14/hour. Same as many states minimum wage. After I got sick of being trapped in a loud building that reached 100+ degrees in the summer I went back to my job at GNC and managed a store along side many others who didnt have a degree (I was only making 15/hour there but also got full benefits. But many store managers were able to make 50k a year depending on the location and store size).

I woke the fuck up and realized I was dumb for getting a degree in a field that was too saturated at its bachelors level. Otherwise its only a stepping stone to higher degrees. Got tired of making money for someone else higher up on the ladder so now I'm back in school getting a doctorate's degree in physical therapy.

>>Immense level of knowledge after you graduate

Ha ha ha you fucking dimwit! Have you ever been to college? Idiots go in and idiots come out.

The better graduate programs are worth while. The average grad program is worse than nothing.

>Do fun things like make video games as a career
Yeah, having to work 12+ hours a day during crunch fixing bugs and then having to sleep under your desk because you're too tired to commute sure sounds like fun.

I'm just naturally gifted and was able to work my way into a high paying job without a degree. I don't recommend this path for unattractive, average plebs.

You probably will! My dream is to sit around like a fat lazy cunt for a couple of years while learning and educating myself to be a better person.
I've been to college
There's more to the coding aspect of game design

More than the coding aspect to game design

>There's more to the coding aspect of game design
The programming part is the only part that you could argue actually needs a university degree.

All jobs have crunch time. If you enjoy programming and are proud of the game you're working on then the crunch back is worth it. Tax season in an accounting office not so much

>tfw 4 70 hour weeks in a row

Good news is the pay is good and you can get a job with a small firm easily once you've put in a couple years with one of the big four

Meh, I have a degree from internet browsing and the library. Checkmate college goers

Colleges are for niggers, I go to a university.
