Isn't Sup Forums supposed to NOT fall for media lies?

actually liberals are the ones using gun violence as a cudgel.

The real truth is that abortion, phasing out of lead products, and residual birth control in water in combination with a robust prison system has decreased the crime rate.

Crime is still higher than it was before 1960, by about 40%. On top of that you have to remember that medical technology has advanced so far, saving many people that would have been murdered before, which artificially lowers the statistics.

Anyone else's city have a massive crime spike after Traynig and Michael Nig happened?

Yeah. I wonder why. Surely telling the police to stop policing the niggers won't have any effect.

Reduce crime via getting rid of ghetto thugs.

That's not how the stats are determined, though. Survival doesn't make a crime non-violent.

your map stops a few years ago

in the past couple years violent crime, including homicides, has spiked

Convenient to end right at 2013. That's like talking about terror attacks right before 9/11.

haha they started beating their ass. if that was on the street she would be dead.

But survival makes it not murder. Same with suicide. So a lot of what would have been murder 40 years ago is now assault, lowering the murder rate. I know the OP address all violent crime but the common point in the media of our "declining murder rate" isn't accurate. Pic related is the full graph btw, look how different it is when you pull the starting point back a few a few years.

forgot pic

that's the only thing the muds have right
letting women think they are equals will always lead them to being this.

>Why do people act like the US is getting more violent?

It isn't more violent, but our current levels of violence are still extreme for a developed country.

The 90's were over the top insane, just because we're not as bad as then doesn't mean we're good now.

But how did it TRIPLE in 10 years? How is it possible?
>inb4 Hart–Celler
Effective mid 1968, numbers were small at first, doesn't really explain the massive hike in the 60s

>On top of that you have to remember that medical technology has advanced so far, saving many people that would have been murdered before

Uh, that's violence kid. Someone slashes you up so badly that you have to go to the ER? That is violence.

Are you under the impression that the only recorded statistic here is murder? Like that people just magically act as if assault and attempted murder are not violent acts? Are you genuinely this autistic?

Obama letting niggers off their leash

Liberals?! Fuck you conservashit, you're the ones that say the country is more violent because of illegal immigrants and PoCs, although people with at least one functioning neuron can figure out is just a scapegoat to justify the hate for people that are clearly superior than you.

...

Civil rights let niggers believe they could do anything they wanted.
Desegregation gave them ~9 times as many targets as they previously had
Drug trafficking became more common as transportation improved.
The resulting crackdown on drugs resulted in more organized crime (think prohibition gangsters but with niggers in charge)

It's more complicated than just these causes, but they are probably the main ones.

I know. when they realize they cant compete on equal terms they resort to shit like this.

For one the US isn't a monolith. Plenty of rural and rich urban communities saw little change. Most of the problems of the 60s-90s (suicide, drug use, murder, rape) were inner city problems. In the 1970s, when the crime rates were still relatively low compared to what they would be, most major cities starting declining and becoming totally lawless. Before leftists/liberals gained control of most major cities the police had far more authority (they shot fleeing violent crime suspects, btfo protesters, did constant raids on druggies and sex clubs, ect). They were not totally deregulated but they had authority of the criminal underground. The death penalty was also very accepted, along with very harsh sentencing. In the 1960s and 1970s the death penalty was abolished all over and sentencing was often change to give perps a "second chance" or whatever. The police were also attacked as being fascist for their treatment of the criminal underground, and many new legislators attacked perceived instances of racism or abuse and rolled back police authority. After 30 years of all that stupidity Bill Clinton's crime bill and our advancing surveillance and response technology finally brought crime rates down, but now we're basically a police state. One other major factor in all this, mostly related to the drug trade and murder, is our treatment of the mentally ill. especially in the 1980s a lot of insane asylums were shut down, leaving thousands of crazy homeless who often committed crimes and got hooked on drugs.

Murder rate is often brought up in these discussion and right of the bat I wanted to point out that it isn't an accurate measure or how peaceful things are.
