I've been thinking a lot about god lately and i've come to some conclusions.
We can't possibly say if all the horrors and suffering and will turn out to be justified in the end, we simply don't have the context.
I do believes things have meaning and significance on the macro scale. Without horror there could be no beauty. I could honestly look a mother who has lost her daughter in the eyes and tell her that her daughters death was significant and meant something.
Who knows where all this is leading. I look at the lives of men like Oliver Cromwell and Adolf Hitler and I think that there must be a divine being guiding humanity to some end. Perhaps we'll advance our technology to the point that we can resurrect humans into the heaven that they believed in at the time of their death. So when you die, you do go to heaven, but it's man made, and we were guided to the technology by god, through all the pain and suffering. Even then I hear stories of how turkish soldiers used to rip babies from their mothers womb and shoot them in front of their mother. Is that justified? Even if it leads us to heaven eventually?
