>Al Gore The guy that says the planet is dying due to man made global warming and spends 30 times as much per month on his electricity bill as a normal family.
Yeah I'll pass on his bullshit.
Jeremiah Campbell
The electoral college prevents cityfolk from determining what the rest of us have a say in
Dominic Campbell
If Democrats didn't register fake voters and we actually controlled for citizenship I doubt they would win popular votes ever
The day they get rid of the electoral college is the day we get civil war 2.0 bogaloo.
Samuel Sanchez
Good luck, it takes a Constitutional amendment
Connor Robinson
>get rid of electoral college >lib later fall into power >flood country with low iq immigrants >never lose power again >proceed to destroy humanity
Lucas Young
Is he still fucking bitter about 2000? Bush won fair and square
Brayden Rodriguez
It's funny, because the Democrats gerrymander just as much if not more than Republicans.
Jayden Murphy
Jews are cheating the system again
Luke Morgan
> bush won fair and square Lmao such bluepill . jeb! Rigged the election for bush by suppressing blue votes , the only way republicans can win elections
Camden Sanchez
Where was the Democratic party's love of the popular vote during the primary election when Hillary used her super-delegates to guarantee a win over Bernie Sanders?
Isaac Flores
Fake news
Blake Rogers
Sounds like a good idea.
Elijah Cruz
People who say get rid of the electoral college are morons.
While some things granted in the Constitution are kept intentionally broad (gun rights, for example) The electoral college is described with a lot of specificity.
It prevents states with large populations controlling everything.
The electoral college is one of the things that binds the states together. It allows smaller states or more rural states balance in the power structure. If you're going to get rid of one of the foundational organizational structures of the republic, you have to allow any state that chooses to opt out.
Personally, as someone who supports secession movement, I delight in all these Leftists saying they want to do away with the electoral college. It may lead to states seceding from the union.
Eli Murphy
This faggot said we'd be under water by 2014. Why should anyone listen to him?
Kevin Butler
Than California New York and Texas would decide every election.
The whole point of the electoral college is so every part of the country has a say, and like it or not, in last election it did it's job.
Wyatt Nelson
Why should Inbreds that live in bumfuckville Arkansas or Wyoming in 90 percent sheltered white communities have way more powerful votes than states with 50x times the population?
Ryan Howard
>I want Jew York and Commiefornia and Chicongo - all Democrat slavevote farms - to have absolute rule over the rest of the nation. >I ran as a Democrat and got my ass fucked nationally by a born again Christian that was a drunk cokehead for half his life. >the electoral college has destroyed my masters ambitions twice because we didn't rig the elections hard enough >therefore this hurdle to our absolute authoritarian rule must be abolished.
Jaxson Powell
If you're going to get rid of the electoral college, just remove the federal system of the US then. I think the only thing that needs removing is the (((electors))) but I can see why some would see the need for them.
What if we kept the electoral college, but went by county instead of state?
Each county worth X votes weighted by population. It's basically the same end result, but by breaking it down to a smaller level people in any one county won't feel like their voices are silenced by any other county.
David Ward
This faggot again??! I thought he was busy melting the Antarctic sheet with a hairdryer, to cover up his previous heap of climate change bullshit?!
Jacob Jones
I don't understand this argument. It's based on every individual vote so everyone is represented equally.
Elijah James
Much easier to hide fraud in large populations, too. Fuck Al Gore. Fuck the left.
Jackson Gonzalez
dems will never vote for "its time to rid the electoral college" meme cos both partys will be decimated
Landon Thompson
Because counties are determinations of state legislature decisions. Even if those weren't, the ability to resize housing/business infrastructures, and where they end up being located, just means the state government is going to advantage and disadvantage particular sides. It would just make shit more volatile and we'd end up having more letter bombs to local officials.
Aaron King
Republicans in favor of maintaining a republic.. really made me think OP. Thank you for this eye opener.
>We want to import millions of welfare dependent shitskins. >We assume they'll all choose to live in the same areas. >We can't risk the rest of America having more control over the fate of the country than the liberal shitholes we plan to flood with new dependents.
Luke James
Because then NY and CA get to have power over areas like bumfuckville Arkansas.
Luis White
>'It's time to get rid of the electoral college' >The thing you, albeit hotly contested, lost? >Yes. That needs to go. Checks out
Jonathan Taylor
>Getting rid of the college If we did we wouldn't be a Republic anymore Try it and I guarantee you we will start killing you and putting you in camps You've been warned
Isaiah Barnes
Good, flyover residents tend to be sheltered uneducated inbred hicks that vote against their own economic interests
Angel Brooks
>Rigged the election >For a republican >Instead of a globalist shill who would do anything the kikes wanted You can't seriously believe that
Samuel Sanders
We aren't a democracy though, he was saying fuck democracy Also the electoral college is controlled by each state individually instead of by the government like it should be. Everyone should have the exact same rules, vote however the people in your districts voted for or be hung in the public Square for treason Fuck what Colorado did
Kevin Reyes
Shouldn't this faggot be looking for man bear pig?
Wyatt Nelson
Not sure because a lot of US people don't vote because you know your state si strong red / blue.
You could be republican in California or democrat in Texas and never go vote because you know it is a complete lost of time.
Kayden Turner
We are a union of states, not a union of people. Just because California let in millions of spics to vote blue doesn't mean the rest of us should suffer for such corrupt dealings on the other side of the nation.
Zachary Campbell
You still have the "I'm with her" bumper sticker on your Prius?
Henry Turner
Dirty yankeecuck scum detected
Elijah Morales
>I'm so fucking smart I know what people everywhere need based off of my sheltered life in the city >t. Actual urban retard
Kevin Reyes
> muh illegals voting boogeyman
Or that conservative ideals are highly unpopular and people are waking up to their senses that don't want to be cucked by Corporations for the rest of their lives
Carter Cook
Where were you lefty faggots when Hillary won the popular vote in the Dem primaries? Dumb fucks Dems have super delegates where the elite get to basically pick their candidate and put them ahead by a good 15-20% in their primary race.
Robert Scott
Explain to me why voter ID shouldnt be mandatory. You want people voting more than once, or people who aren't citizens voting? Is that it?
Jeremiah Watson
Add in voter ID then
Adrian Wilson
explanation for europoors: US = EU US states = EU member nations
the states vote for who runs the union. there is actually no federal election. the states run their own elections.
Andrew Thompson
That's a question of immigration and citizenship, not election policies, then.
I guess you could compare the elections for the EU parliament and the US senate but in the case of presidential elections, you're choosing just one person, not a varying number of representatives.
Jason Butler
kek, both democrats and republicans eagerly and excitedly participate in gerrymandering, and only cry foul when they aren't the ones in control of who gets the electoral handicap. i have pictures on my phone of some DNC funded seminar where they're literally watching a slideshow about the best strategy's for gerrymandering in the upcoming midterm elections and how to best succeed, i'm sure you could find them with a quick google search OP you faggot.
Oliver Sanchez
so LA and NYC determine the fate of the entire country? Both those places are shitholes.
Joseph Nelson
If we don't let the undocumented vote, we ignore half the countries will. You are literally demanding censorship of millions of your fellow countrymen. Hitler is dead. Give it up.
Evan Hill
Fine, here's the (you) Illegals aren't my fucking countrymen, and they're afforded no rights by my constitution, including the right to vote.
Easton Kelly
Why be a faggot when you can be a gaggot. Lololhgehjfsrhjkkekdddfcckekvrtyvgswjgfrukek.
Tyler Scott
>Its time to get rid of the electoral college, so we democrats can fully utilize the illegal vote.
Anthony Nelson
But they are afforded rights by your government. The one's that make your laws. If you don't like your laws, get the fuck out of the country, Hanz.
Fucking nazi shills.
Anthony Ramirez
But what about the 5 very good reasons to keep it?
Jonathan Wood
If the US had a direct voting system, the election would be determined by 2-3 coastal states with the highest population. Consequently, the qualms of the people living in midland states would go unanswered.
Ryder Nelson
They arent my countrymen if they aren't citizens. They are foreign nationals taking part in our electoral process. Should you be allowed to vote in Mexico's elections? Fuck no. You have 0 stake in what happens in their country. The same as the foreign nationals living here have 0 stake beyond sending our currency back to their families. The only reason the elites want masses of unintegrated foreign nationals here is because they aren't debt saturated. Its more people to sell shit to, and to gain interest off of. And these people have no right to vote in our elections.
Jack Sullivan
>Should you be allowed to vote in Mexico's elections? If I live in Mexico? Yes.
Logan Howard
Hi-diddly-ho neighbourino!
Brandon Torres
It's the coastal cities, get rid of global warming inspired measures now
Alexander Phillips
>That's a question of immigration and citizenship, not election policies, then. So you're saying despite california constantly breaking those laws, the rest of the US should just deal with it?
Aaron Lee
>used to not be able to vote unless you were a man who owned land that didn't have brown skin to confirm that you were holding up your end of the social contract that civilization requires to progress >now you can vote without any documents and at multiple different places on election day withou fear of consequence based western democracy, giving the angry mobs whatever they want to maintain a dated and inefficient political power structure.
Caleb Howard
Why are you acting like this man has ANY credibility left? According to him we should be under fucking water rn due to the ice caps melting in 2014.
Jason Scott
Nobody said anything about national socialism retard. How about weactually enforce the fucking immigration laws on the book. If the foreign nationals don't like it, they can get the fuck out of the country.
This faggot wants to talk about the fucking law. HOW ABOUT THE LAWS ABOUT IMMIGRATIMG INTO THIS COUNTRY FUCKFACE!?!?!?!?!
Julian Lopez
We need a civil war again. That is how the last one started.
Anthony Scott
> Republicans have held majorities in congress in some years despite more Democratic votes being cast nationwide
Dems live in urban bubbles mongoloid
Kevin Rodriguez
NOT VERY GOOD ENOUGH DRUMBIRUS COLUMBIRUS REEEEEYAAAA ERREEEYYYAA *starts banging against walls*
Jace Martinez
Is it no progress to allow everyone within a country to vote on things that will affect them? I'm not seeing how this is a bad thing. If everyone was allowed to vote without being accused of fraud, we would have no need for fraud. Everyone would vote once, because they would know they don't have to commit fraud to make up for the fact that their cousins or brothers or sisters cannot vote.
Luis Kelly
Watch this backfire like a motherfucker.
A lot... lot.... lot of voters go uncourted in California and elsewhere. Do you think any republicans worry about Idaho flipping? Do you think the average guy in Idaho really gives a shit when elections roll around? They're going republican. They will forever.
Take that away and it's an all-out War for EVERY vote. There will be republicans crawling out of the walls in all the blue states. Do it bitch
Noah Cruz
DONNIE TWO SCOOMPFS
Easton Rivera
>be vice-president of the US >not know what the letters U and S mean AYY is he senile?
Nolan Garcia
HAHAHA Colbert is the best glad he triggers you
Jacob Wood
Democrats controlled the House for 40+ years because of gerrymandering.
Carter Roberts
Pretty much why i hate the EU.
I love the usa but the size makes the federal government very un effective.
Also, the guys writing the constitution and the EC could've never predicted that the wife of a president can regulate what your kid eats at school. I believe their still roling in their graves because of that
Jordan Williams
That's usually how it works in any presidential election.
No, I didn't say that. That's something that should be looked into
Asher Miller
federal government is supposed to only be for defense of the union and international trade and diplomacy
Julian White
Except in the US.
Ryder Rivera
It should be a legal requirement to read the correspondance of the founding fathers regarding the design of republic, before any person talks about getting rid of the electoral college on mass media.
Mason Garcia
They are not citizens. They are not registered. They dont have a SS number, therefore they are not paying taxes. If they use an SS number, it is not theirs. Also known as FRAUD. These foreign nationals have 0 respect for our laws. They violate them daily by overstaying visas or using dead peoples SS numbers. You were talking about not liking laws, so then just leave? Well there's the fucking door amigo.
>if we don't call it a crime no one will have to do it because its not a crime anymore
Samuel Morris
Conservashitties BRTFO
Julian Evans
You do get a say. One person from a rural area gets as much say as one person from the city.
Joseph Rogers
Electoral college is outdated and was only kep in the beginning so that states could enslaves others
Matthew Thompson
>If everyone was allowed to vote without being accused of fraud, we would have no need for fraud. Everyone would vote once, because they would know they don't have to commit fraud to make up for the fact that their cousins or brothers or sisters cannot vote. lol very funny. link me to your surrealist post-ironic youtube comedy channel? there must be more bullshit where this nugget of pure-naivety and obtuse brainfarting came from.
Adrian Nguyen
Jeb rigged Florida, but Al Gore rigged half the country
They still pushed on with the zog machine, just like how America will invade Russia, even if Hillary lost
Xavier Cooper
Also the Fouding fathers , while thoughtful and intelligent for their time, are not some ultimate repository of wisdom and intelligence, they made a system that was meant to be improved up , yet Conservashits try to govern by the most strict sense
Christian Walker
Imagine where the democrat party would be without importing voters and promising them free shit.
Cameron Edwards
it doesnt just attempt to counterbalance population disparities in terms of control, it is also absolutely essential to thwarting voter fraud.
if you think voter fraud is bad now, imagine how it would look if EVERY fake vote counted equally. you wouldnt have to guess which states are swing states, and you wouldnt have to worry about districts or anything else for that matter. you could stuff ballots anywhere, and it would affect the outcome equally.
Camden Morgan
That's not really an argument for or against it.
Henry Brooks
So by that logic, why dont less populated districts in states get more voting representation? You get a state government to address the particular needs of that state but the federal government election should be treated as a separate entity from the states elections the same way local elections don't determine the electoral college of representation within a state because most (I think all) states don't have intra-state electoral colleges
Before being a union of states, we're a union of people
No we would have had NO IRAQ WAR or 2008 economic crash if gore was elected instead
Ian Edwards
It's an argument for it because it proves no presidential candidate can dismiss the rural population and expect to win.
Logan Murphy
And yet Republicans have also maintained control of the senate, won several governor mansions, and flipped over 1000 state congressmen. Must be a giant coincidence.
>gerrymandering Don't even pretend dems don't do it too. Refer to pic related.
>EC Never going away, because it's guaranteed by the constitution. You'd need an amendment, and all it would take to stop it is the 13 smallest states banding together. Not to mention the fact that the EC HEAVILY favored Clinton last election. She had the power of the big blue wall. Pundits even joked that Trump might win the popular vote yet lose the election.
So you're just a whining shit who lost and flipped the board over when you didn't play by the rules. You lost and your party is over. Stop crying.
Cameron Lewis
Voter ID should be mandatory but you can't outlaw specific ones that one voting bloc happens to prefer, given that whole debacle in North Carolina
Ayden Harris
where did i say they were infallible?
what they were, was immensely wise and careful in their planning, and they took pains to describe what they did and why.
if you want to change it, you need to get on the level of discourse first, its like a mcdonalds employee walking into a hospital and trying to manage the ER otherwise.
take for example: >Electoral college is outdated and was only kep in the beginning so that states could enslaves others
I can see from this comment that you are essentially just like an uppity nigger who spits on food at McDonalds and doesnt actually have any idea about the breadth of the problem at hand.

without it states like idaho and wyoming effectively become vassals to larger states. states with larger populations would be able to dictate without opposition how the people of a state that they've never been to, and have almost no knowledge of, live their lives.
