However, an actual Venezuelan person on here and a leader of the rebellion stated that the confrontation went on for hours with the rebels victorious. The border is just open to people and not vehicles, if anything the ones smuggling would have to cross the river that delimitates the border. There's also a Colombian guerrilla group based on a border state (Norte de Santander) called ELN, that could actually get away with smuggling weapons. That is if their ideologies didn't align with the Venezuelan's government.
