Google seems invincible now but they might not remain a monopoly forever.
Running huge data centers like Google used to require a lot of capital. Now "virtual infrastructure" is a relatively cheap service offered by giants like Amazon but also by smaller hosting companies (mostly thanks to opensource software to manage one's own "cloud" like this).
I think the best way to replace Google would be to have decentralized indexing systems (the way a lot of things on the Internet are (or used to be) decentralized) and multiple companies developing their own ranking and filtering algorithms on top of that (and possibly on top of each others' own algorithms). Same for Facebook.

He's mostly correct, although I have to say that his refusal to condemn diversity and so forth is a fatal flaw in his argument. You can't oppose it half way, because if you try they will use the part you agree with to tear you to pieces. Instead, to be against social justice anywhere means you must be against social justice everywhere.
His other huge problem is that he's being scientific. While it may seem that this would make him unbiased (or at least attempting to control for bias), fact and evidence based, and neutral, what he (and most people) fails to recognize is that his opponents are postmodernist. They reject science out of hand. In fact, they reject the entire idea that one can understand truths or facts at all. They don't believe truth even exists. Instead they replace it with feelings. As evidence for their feelings are oppressor/oppressed binaries, moral outrage based on who claims to be suffering the most, and above all the reinforcing opinions of their peers.
So you see it is 100% unsurprising to see them react the way they do. Do they argue the science with him? Present alternative facts? Interpret his evidence in a different way? Of course not! They don't believe facts exist. Instead they gather around like a bunch of harridans and shout their displeasure, demonstrating that they are suffering the most (or at least they're acting on behalf of those they view as suffering), demonstrating they can be the most morally outraged which in their minds equates with being good, and demonstrating for one another peer group approval which they equate with being correct. They unironically assert that they are the oppressed because they are powerless as they express their power by socially ostracizing those with whom they disagree to the point of actually calling for this guy to get fired.
And if he only had a half decent humanities education he would have understood all of this before he started using science.
