I'm fed up with programmed/sampled drums. Guitar players insist that it's the industry standard now..... I don't know what my deal is, it's probobly because i"m a drummer. It sounds like when I used to make ridiculously goofy brutal deathmetal in garageband. I'd rather hear the band play 20-40bpm slower, with REAL drum tracks. If the drumming can't sound good without samples, then that should really say something about what you are trying to play. It's not about the music anymore, it's about wanking off and trying to be "the best". Whatever the fuck that means, because Jazz, Fusion, Jazz-Fusion, Bepop, and other Jazz oriented styles of music are where you should be if you wank to wank of technically. I like Technical death metal, but in my eyes if you need samples then you aren't a drummer.
