Is gambling degenerate? Being a dealer is a huge red pill, but is the act of gambling degenerate?

Yes it's poor stewardship of God's wealth

I'm a croupier as well. Of course gambling is degenerate. But if ure a croupier then ure just doing ur job. Burgers are degenerate as well but there is a demand, so someone will flip them. Doesn't mean that the flipper is defenerate I guess.

Gambling is only degenerate behavior if you're unable to control yourself. Anyone who thinks they'll win back their losses or borrows money to gamble is a degenerate. Anyone who has fun playing blackjack or slots once in a while without going over their budget is fine.

matched betting isnt degenerate but its less than minimum wage when you factor in all the hours you have to put in

"Games of chance (card games, etc.) or wagers are not in themselves contrary to justice. They become morally unacceptable when they deprive someone of what is necessary to provide for his needs and those of others. The passion for gambling risks becoming an enslavement. Unfair wagers and cheating at games constitute grave matter, unless the damage inflicted is so slight that the one who suffers it cannot reasonably consider it significant."

>you must give 10% of your salary so the church can cuck you some more
no thanks

It depends. My buddy had a wedding at a casino lounge at a foriegn country, I had $80 at a blackjack table that lasted me 5 hours well into the night, I bonded with so many people and had a blast with him, in cases like this it's awesome.

The old lady blowing her social security check in a slot machine though thats where it is bad.

unless you are losing significant wealth over it I dont see the big deal. That being said it has to be possible to make atleast a few hundred a night if you play blackjack well. How is it any different than in a video game?

Depends.
Penny slots, thinking you can beat the odds at table games = degenerate.
Sports betting = not degenerate. Poker = the crowd sucks but psychological and fun.

Yup. My mom pours her wealth into a slot machine. 10 grandkids, sisters are single moms, and she feeds the monkey.
Disgusting. Cut her off a long time ago, and try to help my sis's now.

Craps and Blackjack are top tier next to poker

See, I'm in the Bible Belt and so many people denounce the casinos because of the whole "you're gambling but not tithing to the church, so you're gambling with the church's money" idea. They also like to blame all the crime and drug use on the casinos, like they weren't there before. We do so much community volunteering and have food drives and donate money to local operations (we basically completely finance the only animal shelter in the county). The only downside is we've attracted a fuck ton of niggers from the Atlanta area.

Fucking basement dwelling holier than thou beta virgins can't into poker. Fucking plebs.

DELET THIS

I don't deal poker. Blackjack can be fun with a good table (people trying to have fun over trying to make money) and dealing craps is a blast. I hate dealing baccarat because I can't stand chinks or gooks and they are just disgusting monkeys, almost as bad as niggers.

>God
Hahahaha

Like all things, moderation is key. Don't see a problem with going and blowing a couple hundred bucks on slots once or twice a year. As long as you don't have any delusions about your odds of winning and just look at it as fun/entertainment.

When it turns into addiction is when it becomes a problem.

Online poker can be some top tier basement dwelling

Yes.

This attitude is why we're where we are.
I'm not knocking you personally, but..
>just doing my job m8
not an argument.

>God's wealth

It'll be God's wealth when he does my job.

i bet on horses. a lot. it's my job. been involved one way or another since i was 10 years old writing down and recording the odds on teletext. i always made "beer money" when i worked regular day jobs but i quit, quit drinking too and turned "pro"

i hit low 6 figures every year and have done since '09. i take horse racing far more serious than other people and that's why i am consistently more successful than most. i work really really hard at being "lucky"

Poker is redpilled, everything else is degenerate.
