In a few days I'm traveling to Rome with a friend, can any Italian anons give me general advice what to do and not to do, and how safe is it to go for a night walk(20.00-22.00) through city center?

It's worth to mention that we're going there as an organized tourist group for sight seeing, tours and such, but we'll also have some free time which I wouldn't like to spend sitting in a hotel room. I've already learned to deal with gypsies and not to fall for their scams, and I don't know any better place to ask how things are than this board

The City center is overrun with "refugees" who wash themselves in the public fountains, and sleep in garbage. Go visit the colosseum and run the hell out of the City. Worst city in Italy at the moment

stay away from any niggers, pakis and shitskins.
just ingnore them,they are accustomed.
also stay away from roman larpers.
you could find the city dirty, the state of Rome is awful.

Is it really that bad? We had them in Belgrade in public parks but moved them away, I still remember how shitty they smell and how creepy they look. I'm staying for 5 days and I'm also going to Tivoli, Naples, Pompeii and Vatican but my hotel is in Rome.
It's a cheap travel so I'm staying in a 3 star hotel, what should I expect?
What are roman larpers? Normally I keep to myself as I'm introvert and I don't go around expecting to meet people, or even talk much to them. I don't think it will be a problem

these fake centurions are just scammers.
the monuments themselves are 100% worth the visit, we are just alarming you about the state of the city.

are you fucking retarded? why would you travel with a tour group you goddamn cuck

anyways Rome is safe as shit. some sketchy pockets near the train station. go walk around Trastevere

I see, I'd naturally avoid them but I'll have to explain everything to my normie friend who just calls me autistic for being cautious. Dirt I don't mind, coming from Belgrade which during the summer literally smells like raw sewage and burning dumpsters.
Why not

In case you were wondering why the city is in such shitty state, these are the reasons:

>Because the current Rome mayor is from an anti estabilishment and anti mafia party and every rival, criminal and corrupted piece of shit joined its force to ruin the city so corrupted media and PD voters can blame the mayor Raggi

and

>Because Romans and south Italians are animals

are you a middle age Chinese person? tour groups are the most sterile, boring way to travel

I went there recently with my girlfriend, during the day expect beggars, brown men trying to sell you water, people trying to get you on unlicensed tours where you pay more for nothing (they promise you fast track, this is a lie) black men trying to force wristbands on your wrist and then expecting money (chimpout when you refuse) and lax road laws where traffic lights are more of a suggestion. If you go to the colleseum your ticket will also get you in to ruins opposite the colleseum itself which are interesting to look at if you're into that sort of thing.

Prepare to see a fucking lot of bangladeshis if you take the public transportation at night.
They're mostly harmless but I would think twice about taking the tramway or bus if I were a girl, though.
City center should be ok but the rest is full of garbage and the roads are old as fuck if you plan on renting a car.

Sindaca Raggi is a qt

Make sure you pay your pizzo on arrival

I just saw a tv show on netflix about a guy going to rome and getting scammed by street hustlers.

I was in Rome a year ago and yeah it's a shit hole, but you don't really have to take any precautions. I was walking around the colosseum with my gf around 1 am and there were plenty of other tourists around.

The city center was actually the nicer part where's there's less garbage and more tourists. It's the outskirts that are really fucked up.

Stay out of the parks at night though. They're fucking filled with Africans and it's scary as shit.

Just ignore everyone.

I won't be taking public transportation, just walk around because hotel is near center.
I avoid dark skinned people like plague
I'm 20, I don't know Italian language at all, or how to get around on my own in a foreign country. Tour is organized and I want to hear about those places we visit on my language, since my tour group will be just Serbian people.
His fault for being naive and dumb to fall for that

I've been to Italy this year. Traveled with a group too.
Don't pay attention to any immigrants, specially the ones selling a bunch of crap. If you're going to Milan, avoid the niggers in front of Piazza del Duomo. They are persistent as fuck and will shove corn in your hand so they'll take pictures of you with the pigeons and you'll have to pay them. Also, avoid the Indians. They smell and are pigs. I saw a old woman spit phlegm in public.

Been to Italy last year. Rome and the Vatican are beautiful, just don't get lost in those fuck tight streets and stay away from darkies. I chinned one for trying to mug my girlfriend.

I was born and live in Roma, the city is very very hot and full of tuorist, mind your wallet everywhere, group of young gipsy girl(pic related) near monument and on public transportation are ready to steal from unaware tourist.
Dont take photo of legionar they were agressive if u dont pay for photo
DONT EAT IN THOSE RESTAURANT WITH ENGLISH SIGN GO TO REAL ROMAN RESTAURANT search in trastevere and u pay less and eat way more good.Trastevere its good for a drinks or two if u want weed other there are north african but buy from italian if u can for more quality.

Apparently it's normal in Italy. I linked you the video. Apparently it's just like Belgrade.

everybody in Rome speaks English. next time save your money and do some research on wikitravel

Problem with eating at "real" Roman restaurant is they charge you double if you're foreign.

The people who interact with tourists speak sufficient English.

Everyone else? No.

I always hear "the young people" speak English. I can definitely say that's false because I had to ask a ton of people to text my Airbnb host (I didn't have a phone plan and forgot to text him from my last room)

>black men trying to force wristbands on your wrist and then expecting money
This happened to me. They give it to you and then one of them will tie it around your wrist and you'll have to pay.

the benefit of not being a real Roman is you have a job

it's charity for the failed socialist states

Ne bih ja nigde zalazio gde mi izgleda sumnjivo, samo po onim većim ulicama gde se znam snaći nekako
Thanks, going to show the vid to the friend, he's too optimistic and thinks well of everyone so chances are he'd get pushed into some weird shit or scams without me keeping him on a leash
My english is pretty shit and I can only write half decently

I just watched the first minutes but let me say that people that gives money when asked to pay fucking 40€ (2 x 20€) for 2 photos...well, they deserve to be scammed.

It's not that one should be aware of scams around him, he just has not to be a fucking idiot.

Also the fun thing is that the major banned all these fucking piece of shits roman larpers (which are gipsies mostly) but since Rome is corrupt they formed a "syndicate" and got the ban removed by the tribunal...

Even Rome isn't as bad as Brazil.

Just say No to the wristband niggers and they're not going to do anything.

I don't give charity to thieves.

Welcome to south Italy.

If you come in the northern area I assure you that you'd find way many people who speak at least sufficient english, and not only professionals from hotels etc..

Fun fact: police forces doesn't speak English, from north to south, because for the most part they're all terroni who got their job because...guess what: corrupted system.

I had a friend like that when we went to Morocco. The flower girls kept trying to get his money. He was too kind hearted to tell them to fuck off. I had no such compunctions. In the end, the only way we could get him to chase them off was to have him go into the hotel that we knew was operated by the Moroccan intelligence service. Sure, they took our pictures, but they told the girls to leave us be.

What is the major? Why don't the actual Italian Romans just get it banned again? You should not allow Gypsies into the cradle of civilization.

And I don't know how people treat each other in your country. But expect some rudeness. Especially from people working in the tourism industry.

>They give it to you and then one of them will tie it around your wrist and you'll have to pay.

No you don't have to, you just untie that shit and go away.

The niggers who does this kind of shit relies on the fact that eventually people pay so they can be freed from him.

It happened to me in my home town, Milan, and once you tell them to fuck off they won't disturb you. It's also true that you have to avoid eye contact.

I went to Rome once
Tijuana was nicer

Thanks for the replies guys, I was mostly interested in how safe the city is

I made a promise to myself that I'll never EVER visit a muslim country
Same here

...I thought you lived in one...

>major

I mistyped it, the word was "mayor" as the mayor of Rome.

>Why don't the actual Italian Romans just get it banned again?

Because Rome as I said is corrupted at every level and the current mayor is working hard to purge the system.

You wouldn't believe how butthurt the entire media and political rivals are, because if you turn on a tv in Italy you'll surely hear about the mayor Raggi and his party Movimento 5 Stelle.

The situation is simple: it's 1 people (her) against 100.

They're doing everything possible to work against her and make people think that she's just as corrupted as the previous mayor of Rome.

Luckily this hasn't happened and people seem to be redpilled FOR THE MOMENT.

tl;dr = they won't get banned because the presence of these people is mandatory for telling people that the current mayor doesn't give a fuck about these scammers when in reality it's the opposite.

>You should not allow Gypsies into the cradle of civilization

If only your man didn't fail...

Not even in Brazil I had to deal with shit like this. And they kinda took advantage of the fact I was alone. The gypsies in Portugal were persistent but most of them were women selling scarves and necklaces and they were easier to avoid.

Then you may just be a bitch, son.

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming in Brazil these people were likely to stab/shoot you if you told them No.

So it is the same situation as with Congress and President Trump. They can't let him get anything done because then he would have something to run for reelection on, but in reality it is their intransigence.

Shithole? Yes
Muslim shithole? See pic

I thought the whole point of Milosevic in Kosovo was Serbian muzzies...

Kinda hard to do that when three guys are surrounding you and you don't want to be harassed. I tossed that shit away later anyway.

>Son
Ok.

It'll be ok then.
I never expected to see a grown man yelling at a old lady but that happened.

no, that's Albos

There's a difference?

Don't messs with the Swiss guards
