Having a hard time with Christianity

As a kike who wants to convert to Christianity I'm having a hard time choosing a denomination. I wanted Catholicism at the start but after reading ALOT (about 2 years) about it it began to sound like too much work for a normal person every single thing you don't do right you go to hell, if you don't confess to a priest before you die you go to hell, i accept christ as my lord and savior and believe he died for my sins and saved me i need help Sup Forums any christians care to explain? Churches and denomination are the least important aspects of a relationship with God. All the denominations are man made twists and Churches focus more on the preacher and money than it does with God. Only you can determine how your relationship will be. There are messianic Jewish groups which are Christian but maintain Jewish traditions and customs. If you were a religious Jew before they might be your best bet for an accepting and comfortable community. I hear there are a number of them in Israel, try looking around for one and attending a service

By going to confession you can get rid of both sins. And God wants more than anything for you to go to heaven so he makes it readily available to you.

Purgatory is the limbo land between heaven and hell. It is a painful purification of your soul because nothing that is imperfect can enter heaven. Its where you get rid of unconfessed venial sins I believe

The biggest thing the devil does is try to get us to not feel sorry for our sins so we remain in error.

Don't be afraid of confession it only takes like 10 minutes and you really only need to go for mortal sins

It comes down to if you believe extra-biblical sources are from God like the pope and whatever the catholic counsel deems right. This is has led to believing that mary was sinless, the dead hear your prayers, purgatory, etc.. all not found in the Bible. As far as denominations, they are all pretty much the same preaching the same core belief - faith in christ alone for salvation. Just stay non-denominational. If you look for a church to attend, choose a local independent (Baptist) church.

I am an ex-Christian who realized Jesus was a failed messiah who didn't really fulfill any relevant prophecies.

Go back and read the last chapter of Revelation, friend. Adding stuff to Christianity is no joke.
That parable does nothing to justify the concept of certain sins that must be confessed lest the sinner go to hell despite Christ's salvation. I fail to see how it confirms the existence of Purgatory, as well.

It doesn't have to be Baptist, just make sure you stay away from churches who worship Mary, kiss statues/images or commit excessive amounts of idolatry (read Matthew 23:4-10).

This IS Christianity. Dont worry about denominations or your own works. Christ did all the work for you. There are many great teachers on youtube. Stick to the King James Bible and focus on prophecy. literally around 1/3rd of the book is prophetic. This is how we know it is inspired by our creator.
