Bump, i am actually curious please

>Were you alive when the party was still in control?
It's still in control.

What do you mean?

Anyone?

You should be more worried about them being in control here, now.

That won't ever happen.

not good, not bad.

upside: no degeneracy and the feeling you make chances in the world

the only reason i live in the netherlands is because my wive lived there

What country of origin?

USSR, i still consider myself a sovjet

1 plus is that there nearly are no Niggers in Poland

Fortunately not.
Can't imagine standing in line for butter or fucking toilet paper. And it wasn't the early famine tier, post war communism mind you, they had to put up with this in the 80s.

Well i guess that's as good as life gets there.
All eastern bloc nations had too, just came from the retarded commie general.

>when rich white ppl who got rich off capitalism and free market promote communism

Yes, I was 5.
Life was way better.

there always was a very small amount of nigger students in capital as part of "international help in uplifting third world countries"

i asked my parents, it was trash apparently

Well i do hear Yugoslavia was probably the best commie nation to live in at the time
kek.

Would you want to live in full on communism, or just socialism.

Why do Americans consider Ex-yugo as Eastern Europe?
We literally share nothing with them, nor language, nor writing, nor culture, nor economy.

true that

but in comunism they were mostly send back at least

The West drank wine and champagne.
The East drank vinegar and potato moonshine.
Pick your poison I guess.

i must say, the first time i heared other people talk about the living standards in the USSR, i was a bit shocked.

some of you people think its like a 1984 movie or something.

>HEY WHY DO PEOPLE CONSIDER ROMANIA EASTERN EUROPE WE LITERALLY SHARE NOTHING WITH THEM

my dad grew up. he told me a few stories. poverty was all around, but they weren't starving. ironically my relatives, who grew up under the system now see that, at least in some cases, the communist party was right. namely the inevitable decline of capitalism, and american imperialism.

god damn that moment when u see a Nigger in a store cuz u live in the centre of the 3rd biggest city in Poland

I was 6 when communism got rekt in Hungary, so obviously all I remember is red flags and people attending the reburial of a primer minister who was killed after the 1956 uprising. I saw that on TV and that was my first experience of society and politics. People sat and stood all over the place in silence. It was the beginning of the end for commies, although (((many))) escaped justice and got away with their crimes. My grandpa spent 7 years in a POW labor camp in Ukraine, so he had personal experiences of Soviet reality and the conditions there. It must have been the longest 7 years of his life, although he lived to see his 90th birthday.

Not surprised.
I don't see it as a place where people were dying holodomor levels, but definitely sounds like a bad place to live honestly.

you're a Croat so maybe I'll buy that but Serbs definetly do share a lot with Eastern-Europe

Ask someone currently living in a socialist shithole anything

Probably because westerners think that all slavs are the same.

>yugonostalgia

Sorry, forgot pic related. This was a silent protest in the summer of 1989, the reburial of Imre Nagy and some other people who were put to death after the 1956 Budapest uprising was crushed down. A quarter of a million people were said to have attended it.

How useless are your police

KOSOVO JE SERBIA buhahahaha

Look,I'll take it.I don't mind being called Eastern European.
It's just that I find it weird to be put in the same category as,say,Belorussia.
We're on the opposite sides of Europe and share literally nothing.

its just a nigger chill maybe he's friendly and works out and he's got no friends maybe he can teach you how to work out and stop being such a pussy with women ahaha im not projecting but maybe you could start seeing the value in individuals of other races and you can still keep your prejudices about niggers because its true most of them are indeed subhumans but this particular nigger isn't that bad yknow.

i think the USSR was better and i hope it comes back the way it fell.

in the USSR a lot of people had a secure life (in my surroundings) but not much growing potential, in the western world people can grow a lot but not everyone has a secure life.

so it depends what you like, to be honest.

Well may he rest in hell.

its BELARUS you stupid turk

Imagine being the poor bastard that had to put down 100k plus chairs for these fucks

any nigger is bad in my book

oh my sweet summer child.

And get paid nothing.

Born in the 90s in Saxony, former GDR, near the polish border. My grandparents are expellees from Silesia and Pommerania, which are parts of todays Poland.

I'm living and working in Bavaria though because centuries of socialism have crippled Middle Germany or rather East Germany as they call it today.

Overall a lot of mixed stories from my family.
My father was a high ranking officer in the NVA (GDR's military), but a critic of the omnipresent nepotism and corruption. Some things he said although they were quite mildly, prevented him from climbing up the ladder, so to speak.

Long story short i fucking hate commies and all the leftist parties in todays Germany who are led by people who grew up in western Germany and never had to deal with the shit the commie opression has led to.

I'm still alive. I watched Swan Lake on TV in 1991 Soviet coup d'état attempt as two year kid. It was fun.

I'm estonian born in 1987. Clearly I don't remember much other than there was a constant shortage of everything. My mom had to queue for almost the whole day for food and there wasn't never enough of it.
Some stuff like fruits were almost non-existent. I remember my dad buying some western goods like candies from a black market. The black market is essentially was the only place where you could get anything "special"

Very, but mostly because of the sheer amounts of paperwork they have to do. They hardly get any time out on the beat.

And because of the massive amounts of money that is wasted on "community support officers", who are basically just guys who go around in police uniforms asking people kindly not to park their cars with their wheels on the footpath. After the terrorist attacks earlier this year though, the cuts to those cucks was blamed for it by Corbyn and the Labour party, probably because they're all card carrying union members.

Out of all the nostalgias, Yugoslavia is most justifiable one to reminisce desu

t. horvat
its bjelorusija in croatian, he thought it was belorussia because thats the way its translated from croatian

The descendants of the party are now in control
Just under another name and ideology

Dude, modern day Eastern Europe looks like fucking Africa compared to the west. The USSR was a shithole, along with their satellite states.

bump

I hope you understand but can you take the memeflag off?
I hear the 90s was a bad time for Russia.

No, he is actually perceived to be a positive figure, because he was anti-Stalinist and advocated breaking away from Soviet policies and removing Soviet control as much as possible. At time when he was in office (1953-55) Stalinist type persecutions decreased, living standards improved from totally shit to less total shit and even that was perceived as improvement. A young politician started his political career as a speaker at the reburial, he is today the PM of Hungary.

I'm technically correct.

thats why you are retarded turks with retarded language

ok Ottoman Empire

Huh, well i take that back, sorry.

We were literally bourgeois. Fuck communists. My family worked their ass off to get the land and the mansions.

Politics and economy are run by former communist regime capos, law enforcement and judiciary are completely paralyzed, country is demilitarized (most generals were recycled communists and worthless professional salary-receivers anyway). Foreign investments are deliberately prevented on administrative and bureaucratic level and forests of laws and regulations (and discouraged by nonexistent legal state).
Media is either regime friendly and funded by a must pay public racket, or shady foreign capital, pushing their own (((global agenda))).
I don't see anything intelligent or organized enough to challenge the status quo. There was a brief window of opportunity to overthrow this regime after the war, 95'-00', but army was too dumb, complacent and compromised to pull it off.

why are you so butthurt, croat?

Why are you so upset bro?

Also,Turks never held Croatia.
It's the Serbia you're thinking of.

No problem, the story is not that well known outside our country, but kind of typical. The misery of the system was so deep that commies were killing and imprisoning other commies. Today comrades, tomorrow mortal enemies.

You have to go back Dimitri.

Not born in russia we left after the collapse. But my family was deported into gulags. My grandmother was born in a gulag. I think it says enough.

Fine with me.

That's pretty messed up, Tito would've liquidated them.

ITT: gopnik thinks he's the only white guy in all of eastern europe

May as well be.

Also, i see this posted in the commie general all the time, i know poverty is kind of an issue in Eastern Europe, but is it really that bad?

those are all Gypsies and Hungarians, not sure what are you saying

i dont even know what gopnik means and i didnt say shit about being white, but balkans are not white if thats the debate

>Tito would've liquidated them.
They are Tito. Can't wait for you American communists to get raped to death in a civil war.

Kek
Sure thing Hrvoje Horvat

>doesn't know he's white trash
>claims to be eastern block
You're a fucking spy aren't you. Probably got lost on the way to the kremlin.

Hardly, it's even worse in the Mediterranean, but it also depends what eastern european countries you're referring to

People were happier because the commies took loans to sustain a high quality of life.We have to pay this back, that's why our quality of life is shit now.But the people who used to be happy during communism voted socialists back in power, who took loans to sustain a high quality of life.We have to pay this back, that's why we're in a huge pile of shit, and the fucking pensioners want to vote socialists back in power because

KILL EVERYONE OVER 65

Pretty sure Tito wouldn't like to see all of your politicians profiting off of nationalism and pretending every Balkan Slav ethnicity is a special snowflake famalam

Thanks, i just need to make sure you aren't lying.

Youblindly follow Russia's writing of history and show historical ignorance by saying that though.

i dont know what happend after the collapse of the USSR to eastern europe, so i dont know.

the USSR wasnt a shithole, most of the people i know and knew had a great life although some prefere capitalism i prefere communism because i like security of house and work over the potential to grow or fall.

Gotta love all these oldfags who was born in 90-ies and says about "good old days"of their adolescent, that shit was better then. I was born in 1984, and the only shit i can remeber from soviets, that the icecream tasted awesome way better anything market can offer nowadays, and that's all i can remeber from the soviets.

youtu.be/aucYSvZxeNI

you are retarded, no Slovak is named Horváth, its all southerners

i just googled it and i would like to ask you to stop using russian vodka nigger terms when talking to me, stick to english

Many of those people are beyond "reparable" and voted for the pufajkás. Truly sad he never had to face justice, likewise his comrades.

I know the baltics, Czechia, and maybe even East Germany (?) are recovering quite well, but i know nations like Russia, Bulgaria, and Ukraine are not doing well.

First if all, we were more technologically advanced, the kike on a stick religion was almost destroyed but idiots got scared of living in a collectivist society. Our economies our shit now and we have more religious christcucks than before.

Ok Hrvoje, keep denying your Croatian and Hungarian heritage

i have neither of those, where i live people dont even know what hungarian is, fuck off

Take the flag off please? I just need to know you aren't lying.

t. balazs nagy

i go back, when the USSR comes back

Are you sure you would want to leave the Netherlands.

At least they have hungarian and croatian influence from before you polluted yourselves with turkish, serbian and austrian blood

100% this and also: Let me give you a clue, Amerifat: Do you think Trump actually made a difference? Do you REALLY think the clowns that are put up in front of you depend on YOU, the American voter to elect them into office? And when you, the sovereign, hath spoken, do you think that you continue to have control over the person you elected? The truth is - you never did. The Democracy Makers are in control, not the filthy plebeians. How do you think a man can single-handedly run a nation?

The deep state is real and it is immortal. What the other Eastern European bros are telling you is apparent to us, but is hidden to you. If you want to know what a real democracy looks like - come to Eastern Europe.

Maybe that's because you're a mudnigger gypsy. You obviously aren't a Slav. You disown your brethren and the culture.

There weren't that many chairs, the majority were standing. I can remember, I saw that on our black and white TV that people were standing all around in a public cemetery (except not on the graves) and that was the moment I understood kindergarten was just a small piece of society. Around the same time public statues erected to glorify Lenin and his fellow gangster got removed. Of course, it took me many years to grow up to understand what communism really was, a system I only saw as a kindergartener.

>most of the people i know and knew had a great life

Yeah, empty shops and standing in a queue all day for buying basic goods, what can be better than that?

Interesting
Could you give me any source on any of that?

Is anyone old enough to remember the excitement felt when the old regime fell in your country? Has capitalist life lived up to the ideas you had?
