/zg/ Zoroastrian general

"He who sows the ground with care and diligence acquires a greater stock of religious merit than he could gain by the repetition of ten thousand prayers."

Welcome to the first of many /zg/, Zoroastrian generals. How can one think he can have a strongfounded belief in a political ideology without having a moral compass?

>Frequently asked questions

>I thought conversions aren't allowed
Only the Parsis (Zoroastrians in India) do not allow conversions, and this is not because of teachings but because they
swore never to convert anyone to their religion when they entered India. The Gathas clearly indicate that Zoroastrianism
can be adopted by anyone.

>What is your view on homosexuality.
It is one of the worse sins in Zoroastrianism. Infact you can be executed for it.

>Views on race
Zoroastrians believe that one can only marry within race and religion. Anything else is forbidden.

>Views on God
God is called "Ahura Mazda". He is all good and righteous. In Zoroastrianism there is duality between good and evil. All
pain in suffering in the world is caused by each mans actions. We can either choose to listen to Ahura Mazda, or fall
into deception and deceit and follow the path that leads to destruction.

>Views on afterlife
One who has lived by good deeds and actions will enter into heaven. Those who live by evil deeds will enter hell. There is a bridge in the afterlife called "Chinvat", the more good deeds you do the wider the bridge will be. The evil deeds you do make the bridge thiner. If you fall you will fall into the hell until end times when everyone will be purified.

First one is only 5 minutes and gives a quick rundown.

Are zoroastrianism, christian gnosticism, the vedas and buddhism offshoots of the same religion?

I'm don't know enough about Buddhism to answer for it but I can tell you that much of Christianity and Judaism built off of Zoroastrianism. Take for instance the view of a "Satan" figure. Judaism did not have that until it started contact with Zoroastrianism. I do believe Jesus was an important spiritual figure as he was predicted by Zoroastrians, the Magi.

Fixed the recitation of the Yasna

What's the zorastrian view on other religions and their followers (especially Christianity) and how are they taught to interact with them?

it feels like it is the prequel of the jew trilogy.
memes aside,it has interesting concepts.

Christianity is viewed as one of the "Good religions" meaning they somewhat follow the basic truths. Good thoughts, Good words, and Good deeds. Others and myself generally believe Jesus was trying to spread a message very similar to Zoroastrianism but his message was changed by his followers such as Paul.

It does predate Judaism. It is the oldest monotheistic religion still practiced to this day.
(Judaism is not one of the "Good religions" as they are called)

I like that Zoroastrianism lacks the idiocy of Christianity and Islam: the maddening cruelty of pointless and eternal punishment, and idiocy of all powerful god tolerating evil while not being evil himself.

What was the religion of the Iranians before Zoroastrianism and Hinduism came to be.

Yes, in Christianity it is taught all you need to go to heaven is to accept Jesus. All your sins will be forgiven. In Zoroastrianism you need good deeds to counter your bad ones. You must be accountable.

Paganism. (Thousands of different deities)

Larping a dead religion is retarded. Are you Iranian perhaps?

If someone want to convert to Zoroastrianism, what does he need to do ?

Are there daily prayers like in Christianity ?

Is there an equivalent of "turn the other cheek" in Zoroastrianism ?

Does this mean believe in Zorastrianism is not required to enter heaven?

Also, how is your religion legitimized? In Christianity we have
>resurrection of Jesus (the empty grave)
>multiple eyewitnesses and different accounts of Jesus
>multiple fulfilled prophesies
>archeological evidence: brimstone found all over the Sodom and Gomorrah area, even on rooftops
etc.

Zoroaster predicted that an evil warlord would rise from Arabia and kill many of his people. As did Christianity. Islam is the 2nd largest religion on the earth? So you measure quantity over quality?

Why do muslims hate you guys so much?

Traditionally if you want to convert it needed to be done through a priest. According to the Zoroaster all one needs to do is announce is belief in Ahura Mazda. If you're looking to convert hop in the Discord and we can talk.

Hinduism closely resembles Hindi-Aryan paganism, a more flushed-out and evolved version of it.

Persians got into fire worshipping and more abstract concepts.

Without God there is no salvation. Following of another religion is considered a sin. We also have fulfilled prophecies as the one I mentioned above. On top of that the wise men who came to Jesus' birth were Magi.

You do realize the every religion relies on act of faith alone, and any evidence is regarded as such only if and because you are already believing in it? For any non-believer, that would be nonsense and fabrication.

Where can i read those predictions?

Thank you based Ahura Mazda for this blessing

Buddhism has nothing to do with the other three (with the exception of the Vedas. It makes some connections with their ideas, but mostly opposes them).
