I agree that it was a missed opportunity to condemn White Supremacists, especially since his opponents have flipped his "call it what it is" stance on islamic terrorism and turned it against him, but I took his many sides comment to reflect how there have also been multiple arrests from people of antifa assaulting people and the bernie supporter who shot Scalise.
I really thought it was a good speech that tried to highlight the issue as a bi-partisan one and promote togetherness. It's a shame that it's been spun into something that will just become more of a negative news cycle for Trump.
