Women are just as good and important in tech as men are. They are just better at different aspects of tech. Women are better at operating that difficult espresso machine in the break room. Only 6 of us women don't know how to use it, and I'm sure there are way more men that don't considering they were the ones who lost the instructions. Also my boss always tells me to go get him an espresso so I think he doesn't know how to use it but won't admit to it.
Also it takes incredible tech skill to operate the really complicated phone at my secretarial desk. My phone at home only has like 10 buttons, and this one has like a million omg. Sometimes I totally hang up on people calling in because is so hard to figure out which button forwards them on to other people. Tech is hard.
Now my friend is a programmer. She is totally the best I've ever seen. She programs things so neat and she shows me her programming vs men and hers makes so much more sense. She explains everything and even leaves smiley faces in there. She's the best. Here's an example of her work.
Men just don't understand how hard it is for women in tech, especially when computers were all designed by men for men. If it wasn't for Facebook and Reddit, I would probably just die.
