Free speech is absolute and should always be, I encourage use of the following argument against anybody you may know that says "free speech needs exceptions":

Lets say hypothetically that we banned "unpopular speech" to protect people from it, now who enforces that new fule and decides what is and isn't allowed? The government and law enforcement. Now lets say the police or government horrendously fuck up, would they not use their powers to suppress bad speech, to suppress their mistakes and anybody that attempts to hold them to account? Absolutely (example to use: BLM is about police fuckups and yet they are wanting to give police the power to suppress certain kinds of speech??) So then nobody should be given the power to suppress speech of any kind, it is just too great a power. Free speech is absolute, once you make exceptions it is no longer free.
