Do you not know how polling works? Also if anything they might be underestimating it since these polls often oversample minorities and Democrats (we saw a lot of that in the election).

A representative sample size is usually a few thousand with demographic proportions which reflect the total population's. Any more than that and you're just wasting time and money asking more people than you need to.

The result of this poll is consistent with other polls about the subject in recent years.

This is basic statistics. The margin of error curve is more or less constant for any population above 10,000 people -- whether it's 30,000 people or 300,000 people or 300,000,000.
