I was thinking about this earlier today. I'm pretty sure it's because lefty memes only work on one level since they are void of truth. Effective memery needs effective humor and humor needs to have more than one level to be effective otherwise it's too flat and doesn't have enough impact.

Sup Forums memes that are "low quality" are easy to diversify. Take the Chad meme for example, anybody can add hilarious shit to it to enhance it. It's often absurd, which makes it even more hilarious.

While they might say "Wow, wtf is a Chad insurrection? This is so stupid!". It makes them angry. Even if they understand the references, they don't understand that being unable to understand the absurdity is part of the joke.

Normal people see something ridiculous and laugh, because it's so absurd.

It's also about context. If I have a creepy pepe in a cultish robe, it wouldn't make sense. Here, it's usually used to reference something related to meme Magic.

The biggest thing of all is that it seems forced. Lefty memes have this air of fakeness, inorganic astroturfing. It makes sense, as communism seeks to replace the prevailing culture with itself.

Culture creates content, and communism has zero culture.

The alt-left can't meme because they are too occupied with delivering a message that is free of anything potentially triggering.
