Sitting on the couch, I was sick that day. As I watched cartoons, the new broke in with footage of the first tower smoking and I thought it was a movie so switched the channel and every channel had the same image. My mother sat down and we watch the second plane hit, and both of them come down. For months afterwards the news would air the footage of people running from the rubble and being pulled into stores just as it caught up with them, and the molten steel still smoking well after Christmas and New Years was frequently discussed also. Strange how nobody really brings that up anymore.
