You are kidding yourself if you think this board or even this website is going to get any better. It was "good" because of the culture that defined it, but because of all the great happenings it's attracted hordes of new users. Since GG and the 2016 US election especially, the amount of newfags has skyrocketed.
What is the problem here? Well, what is happening here reflects what is happening in Europe, because it was a great place. Recently Sup Forums discovered a persistent cookie from Sup Forums that logs your metadata and tracks your posts across certain boards. Moot was happy to let this place go because he knew what was to come and there wasn't any stopping it. Sup Forums is the worlds largest English speaking imageboard now, and gookmoot would be stupid to make it less profitable when he bought it with hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt.
