Needless to say I had the better arguments, but this devolved into a discussion about their safety, which much to her chagrin they're very safe. And finally this became a "muh feels" argument about how they're scary, unless in the hands of police.
How do I fix this Sup Forums? I don't really want or expect her to become enthralled in gun culture, I just don't want her to dismiss their purpose in the hands of myself and other citizens.
