Homeschooling is absolutely the way to go these days. Although some public schools in certain areas are still pretty good. But yeah, homeschool for sure. We will be doing the same. The Wife has been working feverishly at learning to become a great teacher, pretty much her main mission right now. Unfortunately, she's the one with the knowledge and we're still young ourselves, no kids yet, but she's due with our first in something like... 14 weeks. Damn, closer than I thought. lol. But yeah, that's mostly her side of affairs, so I don't know much about it. Sorry.

The way I'd set up the curriculum is for it to be more practical.
Learning through practice is easier than plain repetition. I was thinking for example, have a project where the goal is to design and build a rocket. (this would be for higher levels and it combines maths, physics and chemistry). Simple things like language could be learned by bringing them to environment where they need to ask questions, write things down etc, for example a museum.
