Iraq War

How many of you oldfags initially supported the Iraq War in 2003-2004 during the early stages of the war? Or were you against it?

Aluminum tubes was a shitty excuse for evidence and a good chunk of people knew it. I think everyone was pretty apathetic because they just figured it would be over quick and wouldn't kill more Americans than 9/11 did, and then another 200,000 brown people.

Was happy because I knew mudslimes would die but didnt think much about the consequences. At the time that was enough for me to support it.

Kinda sad when you think about it, american soilders waste their life in pointless war after war, giving their life to their eternal jewish master and overlord.

Even dick cheney said himself on a documentary that it was about securing the oil reserves for future generations

I was against it to begin with.

Hussein never had WMD's, it was proven, we invaded to establish democracy on a bunch of mudslime savages that want ISIS more than they want democracy.

Nigga without these wars we couldnt have great paying jobs at companies like Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. So fuck you, lets blow everyone up!

The war was legit from beginning to end, pulling out was a massive mistake. The info is there for people that actually want to know. Not wasting my breath explaining it, when folks just don't want to believe some people hate them unconditionally.

we were really mad about 9/11 and just wanted all sandniggers to die painful brutal deaths. It didn't really matter to the average joe if we found wmd's or not. as long as muslims got tomahawked in nightvision on tv people were all for it.

t. kike

I was for the afgan war from day one and i was for the iraq war as well until i realized we were being faggots and not murderating everything in sight. Just my personal opinion that if youre gonna war then you better go big and be thorough. Now I have no idea. It keeps our boys trained I guess.

At first it was really cool to watch sandniggers get BTFO on TV but after a while I was full George Bush did 9/11.

I was against afghanistan and against the iraq war. Everything I said turned out to be, which is a continuing disaster that ruined millions of lives and caused more problems down the line.

total nonsense from you

...

t. boomer crypto-kike

The memes were strong back then
I tryd to join but a commercial drug charges kept me out.
At the time they were accepting convicted child molesters

Never had a choice. 9/11 happened when I was in highschool and I was so pissed I joined the military. Then we declared war on Sadam while I was in bootcamp. I was seriously confused about it. Much like some people are joining now expecting a fight with north Korea and are gonna get bamboozled into Afghanistan.

I was young at the time. I think around 15 or 16. I was just excited to see some war porn. Didn't like what it turned into like most people. From now on with sand niggers we blow them up and leave.

loved it, still do. Gotta gets dat sweet pertroleum erl

>muh anti war
when did Sup Forums become bluepilled faggots? I supported it, I went there and I still support the decision. I just wish we would have put indoctrination camps in place for all the shithead children.

>Supporting any war, ever

What do you gain from imperialistic wars? Unless you're a shareholder for some corporation in the military industrial complex, you have no reason to support any war, ever.

War has always been a tool that the rich and powerful use for their own gain, and it's always the common man that pays the price.

Kike

>was happy because mudslimes would die
Well that came back to bite you in the ass hey sven

One should always support it's county in acts of war, whether it is right or wrong. Such is the duty of the patriot, the citizen.

I was only a teenager, but I was already an imperialist. I supported the war because I wanted us to take their oil. Total fucking waste in the end.

>fighting for israel

i was 14 and i didnt care i was angry and wanted them to die

I didn't understand it. I remember. I was going to join the Army to work on Apaches. I really wanted to. I didn't go.
Because of the Iraq war. I didn't understand why we would hit them after 9/11. What did they have to do with that?
Back then I didn't know America was just trying to prop up the petro dollar. And I wasn't at all woke.
But I knew there was something weird going on. And then they found no WMDs.
I never regretted not joining the military.

>fighting wars for your jewish overlords
fuck off boomer kike

I was against it completely. Seeing how the media and government lied so blatantly about everything for the purposes of manipulating us into war was a real redpilling moment for me

I told people it was an optional war, but figured if we could depose Saddam, put the INC or whatever bunch of clowns in power, then leave, it would serve as a lesson to the rest of them.
>Hussein never had WMD's, it was proven,
The hell are they teaching you kids these days? He used chemical weapons against the Iranians and the Kurds. According to the U.N resolutions, he had to document their destruction, instead he had them dumped into random ditches like a typical incompetent 3rd world bureaucrat. Actually if he would have just let the French inspectors peek around his bondage dungeon, he might be alive today.

u.s.a didn't "take" the oil. In early 2000 Saddam Hussein decided to sell oil in euros instead of dollars which threatened petrodollar. So soon after u.s invasion, all the oil was sold in dollars.

archive.is/j3y8B this is an article that shows Hussein selling oil to euros. This was written in 2003 before the war.

Very similar, but '07-'09, Rumsfeld was stingy. We should've had twice the number deployed for a solid three years instead of contractors (LARPing faggots with a paycheck) and Washington mapping strategy. No will to win.

>muh gas
Real reason for invasion was to protect king kikes in israel

bullcrap. Show me the source that there were chemical weapons.

I was about 10-11 years old when the war first broke out so no real opinion.

No a whole lot of people I know managed to make a life and a family for themselves when they wouldnt have had many other options in life.

I just wanted blood for what they did to our buildings and someday we will collect enough. maybe.

Jews did 911 you fucking simpleton

>implying saddam did 9/11
Americans..

>muh Jews

What happened to all that yellow cake we recovered that was then sent to Canada?

Shit, the execution and follow through were a fucking joke. Building democracy? Sure, let's give mob rule to Muslims. I'm sure that'll go well for the Christians. Idiots.

Sadam was a piece of shit. Declaring and going to war gave us the duty and obligation to leave the place better than we found it. Take or don't take their treasure. Is life better today in Iraq?

Maybe the petrodollar security staved off WW3. Worlds a mess right now though, and the house of cards looks to be getting higher.

>Mudslimes
Wasn't IRAQ under Saddam mostly a secular gov?

i did. i thought race didn't exist and bringing democracy to the sand niggers would turn them into normal human beings. i was wrong.

>Saddam was a piece of shit

I dont care where it comes from. Thats for you scientists to sort out.

of course. this is like asking if i used to be retarded

Why they staged Osama Bin Laden, instead of Hussein then?

I was at first but then went full 911 conspiracy etc

Shut it down

I was against it but fucking everyone else I knew, democrat or republican, were for it. I think approval hit 97% when the troops rolled into Baghdad. Fucking morons.

I was never for that war. What a massive fuck up that turned out to be. Thank you to the Jews of America for that one.

Against it. It was a dumb idea then like invading Syria is a dumb idea now.

the search for the WMDs is on going.

my guess is they were in NK all along

I was a freshman in college in 2003. I thought the war was a bad plan and a distraction from the true goal of killing fuckhead bin laden.

But it made for some bitching TV.

>
No

Remember when Iraq shot, illegal under UN resolution about WMD, extended range SCUD missiles at US forces?
They tracked them with RADAR on the way in and proved Iraq had WMDs they claimed not to have.

Iraq had WMD by the definition of the UN resolution. The war was not only justified by the hundreds of violations of the 90s cease fire, but also by the WMD claim by the 2000s Bush government.
But no one ever wants to talk about that.

I knew it was BS from the start. I actually wrote a small essay in support of Saddam and argued that Ba'athism was the best alternative to radical islam.

and look where we are 15 years later.

Was in 5th grade, was for the war. I remember watching the news at home and my mom was in emotional distress. My life went to shit after 9/11

i remember user. the world went mad

Yeah, I'm sure CNN and every other org was more than happy to go along with every thing too for Shock and Awe footage. The media deserves to hang.

Did support.
Regret it.

I was against 1000% until I started to really hate Muslims
Like I never cared for them before but didn't wanna be invading
But after really getting too know em, I realized they're always going to be meddled with as long as they're sitting on oil.
They can get fucked after that I guess

>The war was not only justified by the hundreds of violations of the 90s cease fire, but also by the WMD claim by the 2000s Bush government.
>But no one ever wants to talk about that.
so we can make rules for other countries and if the dont obey we get to invade? sounds like bullshit to me. oh and i want sauce on your wmd claim

I think you'll find most of us didn't want to take part in a war for the greater good of Israel.
You could show me 100% definitive proof that Sadam was packing the biggest WMDs ever, I still wouldn't care.

Opposed it from the very beginning

t. my dad served in Desert Storm 1991

I was against it, stupid reasoning for the war and some people I knew bought into it.

Was stupid and gay. Was proud that Chretien was only Western leader that said no to Dubya. Unfortunately that meant we had no choice but to go to Afghanistan.

our involvement in the middle east was covered up by overt black operations conducted on united states soil; ie the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the whole thing was a sham in order for our coalition to stop those goat fuckers from pulling another philadelphia experiment, this time on a larger scale.

whatever you say beta faggots, we will spread our influence even if both of your meme flags disagree.
Yeah, the larpers caused nothing but trouble plus all the political bullshit was so annoying.

The Iraq war was legit but not for the reasons given to the American public. This is because the government lied about it.

3 Reasons why we went to war in Iraq
1) Iran is a terrorist state. The number one supporter of terrorism after Saudi Arabia (who we can't piss off because they feed our hunger for petrochemicals) and everyone thinks its total coincidence that we invaded the countries directly east and west of Iran. We couldn't supress Sunni terrorism so we settled for Shia terrorism, wrongly assuming that Saudi would try to control the wahabbists.
2) Iraq violated the terms of service for its post gulf war ceasefire. We never did broker a legitimate truce or armistice for the war, so when Saddam violated the ceasefire terms game on.
3) Saddam had chemical weapons and still did at the outset of the war. We found some but not all his stockpiles. There are suspicions that those weapons were transported to Syria, or they may be in the hands of ISIS terrorists who are partially ex-Iraqi army.

None of these reasons play well on 9pm news. Its really hard to convince Joe America that you need to send his son to die in Iraq because some son of a bitch wont destroy the chemical weapons we sold him in the 1970's, and we need to bodycheck the second biggest political power in the middle east so they wont try to overturn the geopolitical landscape of the middle east.

Against it all the way through.

Only anti-American traitors supported that shit.

I didn't like it. There was a lot of talk before the build-up talk about WMDs about how the US deals with wars, the foreign policy we keep after the wars. People were criticizing the fact that we tended to go in, demolish the state, eliminate the threat, then leave. This leads to a logical conclusion of nation building , but one which can not be done in a way to seem as though we are setting up a puppet State. Those points are decent points to make, but unless it's a situation where a competent group with resources for governance asks for help, it means a whole lot more blood and treasure for little to no pay-back. This was compounded with the criticisms surrounding US interests in Gulf oil. There were dim prospects as far as that directly aiding the aforementioned concern of payback because the US could not be seen as going to war and killing people for oil according to those criticisms. All this was supposed to keep Iraq from "turning into another Vietnam". Everything about it stunk to me, and I suspected Bush would still push for it given all the resources in the area already because of Afghanistan and his father's perceived mistake of leaving Saddam in place.

That in itself makes it fairly honourable. Assuming it's the truth. Which I highly doubt.

Yeah I was for the war OP. But I didn't know much about it. I was for it in a 'just nuke em' sense. Simply because the world has an absurd amount of shitskins.

Good goy

great post

>we will spread our influence
>our influence

The American people have zero influence. You are spreading Jewish influence for your Israeli masters. You are just the attack dog.

who told you that? your teachers?

>so we can make rules for other countries and if the dont obey we get to invade? sounds like bullshit to me.
Well Iraq invaded Kuwait, the UN said you can't do that and a group of nations invaded Iraq and restored lawful rule to Kuwait. Rather than destroying all of Iraq a deal was made which Iraq agreed to. Part of that deal was a set of conditions to end hostilities. Iraq later violated it's deal, in effect restarting the war. The UN also passed a resolution saying Iraq can't have WMDs. Now clearly their is no legal force to require any one nation to do anything, but under threat of war it can be enforced. Any nation can invade any other nation for any or no reason at all. The only thing stopping them is their ability to invade, and their ability to resist what other nations might do.

>oh and i want sauce on your wmd claim
You can use duckduckgo as well as I can.

The only reason the 'war' is hated is because the US didn't just kick the shit out of Iraq as an objective lesson then leave. Think of it this way, 6 months after the war and with fewer than 1,000 casualties let alone death, every US soldier is withdrawn from Iraq, and Iraq suffered 5 trillion in damage.

Think many other nations would be willing to piss the US off if it was shown the US policy was to utterly destroy a nation and then fuck off and return to the USA waiting for the next fool to step out of line?

The entire west said no to dubya. It was just the UK that agreed to fight

the muh oil thing is such a meme
we fought it to put more pressure on Iran for the incoming war with them.

Iraq got looted, gemstomes and stuff

We didn't want anything to do with Iraq but once the domino was pushed we had to support the boys in battle.

and if obama hadn't fucked it up the middle east would be in a much better condition right now.

Trump voter. I was against it. Still am.

Best looking D3CR I've seen.

UK, US, Aus, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Romania, El Salvador, Estonia, Netherlands, Hungary, Bulgaria, moldove, Ukraine, Denmark, Czech Republic, S. Korea, Iceland, Macedonia, Bosnia, Singapore, Nicaragua, Azerbaijan, Tonga, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Philippines, Denmark, Thailand, New Zealand, Albania, Portugal, Japan, Norway, Italy, and a few more went with the US. We didn't.

What's it like to be so stupid, canadanon? Ignorant about your own fucking country, too.

Do you know what da fuck niggers can accomplish with aluminum tubes??

>Reasons wont play well on 9pm news.
1. Iraq is not Iran or Saudi Arabia
2. Nobody cares, doesn't effect the U.S.
>nb4 sets a precedence of US not caring about things not in our interest.
3. Saddam had chemical weapons forever ago, gassed ~30K Kurds, we didn't care enough to not keep him in power then. Iraq wasn't gassing anybody before the war. Nobody cares if they still have some a decade later.

I was ~15 y/o when we invaded. It amazed me that other teens were too stupid to not be hypnotized by the media. It was pretty transparently an illegal, unjust war void of American interests except military profits.
Very successful though, same with Afghanistan; trillions in high margin rev.
Now I've learned that the largest amount of lobbying for the war came from Israeli / Jewish lobbies and not military contractors.

I initially supported it but then turned against it when I saw the lies that got us in to the war.i never stopped supporting the troops, but i campaigned to draw down and bring it to a close.

google the downing street memos

>we fought it to put more pressure on Iran for the incoming war with them

>we fought Iraq to start a war with Iran

3d chess above my comprehension.

Link?

I was initially against it. But then I began to really despise leftists and I would support the war just to aggravate leftists. I was also really into Chris Hitchens around this time. But now I think it is pretty obvious that the war was a big mistake.

>never stopped supporting the troops

Why would you support troops doing something you think is wrong? They weren't drafted.

Dpreading influence as hamfisted as youd like to would just end up driving euradian states into cooperation and totalitarianism. Enjoy Soviet union 2.0 now with working economics.

I figured at the time it was just because we were mad about September 11. I don't know why it took so long for us to go in before they, with all of Sodamn Insane's shenanigans.
