i dont think people even understand what rights are

Is healthcare a privilege or a commodity?

Neither, it's a service provided by those who sell their time and effort.

This.

I'm just asking the questions man.

Sorry to interrupt, but unless you like Antifa, please sign this NEW petition (not the terrorist one). This petition has the potential to destroy Antifa legally, so please help get it started:

if you dont know what a right is, how can you determine what is and isnt a right?

A right.
Pubblic healthcare is working in a lot of countries.

Obamacare was SHIT, though.

Privilege.

post-checked

once we get the ethnostate things will be completely social Darwinist, only the best of whites will survive and we will improve as a race.

neither. its a service/commodity.

It is a privilege. Go live out in the middle of Timbuktu with a handful of people. If you get sick & they don't like you, they are not obligated to help you just because you think you have a right to burden them.

it's not a right but it is a necessary part of a functioning advanced society, how it goes about being implemented is the issue, it isn't addressed rationally in the US because of our fascist system run by an unaccountable bureaucracy that runs on a heady mixture of grift and stupidity

It's a right

Only sociopathic Conservashits who hate their country men would say otherwise

Everyone /should/ have healthcare, but it is not a right.
A 'right' is very specific legal term that has been co-opted by neo-Marxists to push their bullshit agenda.

Economics have proven heathcare improves the productivity of the country, you just don't give free healthcare just to be nice to people.

Positive rights are dangerous.what if society was practically unable to meet these needs

you have the right to healthcare
you also have the privilege of paying for it

A right is something the governemnt gives/promises every citizen equally. it's a right to not have your body harmed without your consent (and that right is enforce by your government). it's a privliege to own a car, for example.

And this right here is the crux of the issue. There is so much talk about "rights" in the form of "basic rights," "human rights," etc.. But what are rights?

The only "acceptable" definition for "rights" are those which are granted to individuals by law. Everything else is just emotion and opinion.

you have a right to buy it

A material good (medicine) or service (care from doctor/nurse/whoever) cannot be a right, and is always a privelage. Only ideas can be rights (free speech, bear arms/not a right to a free weapon but a right to have one if you choose, etc.)

It's a commodity burger, we in Straya have one of the better universal systems and it's pretty bad still
It's wasteful (people get x-rays to use up their med allowance)
It's clogged up (waiting lists for waiting lists are a thing)
don't be like us, be better

not even close. the government doesnt give rights to anybody. the constitution also does not grant rights. rights are something that citizens says "we will have these things or it will be war." if you're not willing to kill those who would dispossess you of your rights, then you dont really have any of those rights.

wrong. The govt doesn't give us rights. We have them naturally. We give the govt powers and they are enumerated. They work for us.

Oh, you have them naturally? I'f the government right now would devolve into anarchy would you still have them? These rights you are talking about are enforced ONLY by the government, they can take them away at any moment.

sauce.

Good goy.

ugh this is such a Facebook-tier meme

It's not a right TO healthcare. It's a right to GET healthcare, which is what we've always had. Fuck off with this government mandated scam.

Availability of services are a commodity.
