europe isnt begging for food. why the fuck should the west or any region prop up africa. they need to figure out how to do this on their own. at best i would say a few water desalinization plants would be in order but not that many for a couple coastal nations then they sup;ly water to others and in return they get food from those they sell the water too who would be expected to grow food since they obviously dont have enough money for basic shit otherwise they would buy food

What did the Third World do with it? They kept having 9-children families and are still starving because of a population explosion. They'll be better off if we stop feeding them.
Sure, 30 billion dollars could solve hunger right this second. Completely agree, an investment of that magnitude would provide the supplies and logistics to securely put a meal in the belly of every human being suffering from hunger.
But what about tomorrow? When all of those now satiated people produce another generation of (a higher number of) folks suffering from hunger? Do we feed them all again? What do we do when the problem keeps growing at an exponential rate despite us "solving" it everyday? Inevitably the demand of the hungry will exceed the surplus and eventually the net production of the food providers. What then?
How about instead, we simply leave these people alone. Let them develop and maintain their own infrastructure and supply chain to solve the hunger problem on a local scale. If that isn't humanitarian enough for your tastes, then let us get involved by consulting them on self sufficiency, teach a man to fish and all.
No matter how good it makes you feel or how simple it appears, we cannot solve this problem via materialistic unlimited charity.
