Orthobros
>Christ gave no primacy to Peter

Prods
>Christ gave no power to any man to work as a conduit between men and God for the forgiveness of sins

Gospel

Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi and
he asked his disciples,
"Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"
They replied, "Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah,
still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
Simon Peter said in reply,
"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Jesus said to him in reply,
>ORTHOBROS PAY ATTENTION
"Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my church,
and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
>PROTESTANTS PAY ATTENTION
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Then he strictly ordered his disciples
to tell no one that he was the Christ.

THREADLY REMINDER

There is literally nothing you can do that wold benefit you & your country than becoming a Catholic priest. Saw someone in the last thread say he was contemplating it, but thought getting married & having kids would be better for the West. This is wrong for these reasons:

As a priest you (obvious spiritual elements aside):
- Depending on your parish, have anywhere from 100 to over a 1,000 people listening to you every Sunday. Even more coming to you for baptisms etc. This gives you more of a reach to instill strong values, encourage people to have more children etc than you'll ever have as non-priest
- You're also likely to have at least one school over which you automatically become the head governor. Allowing you to implement certain practices in that school (more focus on reading the Catechism, teaching the evils of modern liberalism etc)
- You automatically become part of a brotherhood that is spread throughout the globe. Making it easier for networking & getting people involved in campaigns etc

tl;dr if you're not married, give serious consideration to the priesthood

Glad to see Catholads of Sup Forums are all at mass

Went to mass today and for the first time talked to the priest afterward and asked him about confirmation. I made some progress today.
Have a good sunday everyone.

But we'll see

Hey, Catholic bro, I grew up Catholic but never undertook confirmation. I strayed away a bit after joining the Army. I began lurking here a few years ago and after getting out of the Army considered returning to the Church, but never quit got around to it. A few months ago I began to notice your posts and they convinced me to finally return. I recently (Easter) was confirmed in the Church ( My name is Sebastian) and would like to say Thank You for all that you do. Your posts have been an inspiration to me.

Can't wait, wanna hear it!

Wonderful to hear. Makes me want to consider going to Mass again. Good Bless you.

Where can I find 'De Miseria Condicionis Humane' by Innocent III in an online English translation. Please help.

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

"saved through faith" well it looks like you don't have to do any works. "gift of God" you don't work for gifts you just accept them otherwise it isn't a gift. "not of works" well that's pretty clear you don't need to do works. "lest anyman should boast" just like the guys in
Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.(see John 6:38-40 for the Father's will)
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
It looks like those people were boastimg and relying on their works "done many wonderful works" AND they had faith "in thy name". But Jesus still told them to fuck off.
Looks like relying on your works like orthodox and catholics do has you NOT enter Heaven

Jesus said they work iniquity because thy rely on their works. Let's see what happens to people that work iniquity.
Matthew 13
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

This is true, but we are the spiritual Jews and not the carnal Jews. There is a clear distinction. The carnal Jews are our enemies, because they envy our continuity with David and our relationship with God.

This still isn't retard. Go make these shit threads there

Reminder: Pretty much all political issues come down to those who revere and worship Christ against Gnostics, Occultists, Alchemists, Satanists and the like

The jew fears Christ.

Thanks for stopping by & letting me know user. Really shows the wonderful fruits even a simple Sup Forums thread can have

My brother told me to bow when "Jesus Christ" is said during mass but I never see anybody else do it. Am I wrong for bowing?

Your brother's right & you're right to do it. It has fallen out of habit, but it's correct. We bow to the tabernacle when 'Jesus Christ' is said (or simply 'Jesus' as in the Hail Mary' because it's a reverent way of acknowledging he is present here, in the tabernacle

Who promotes or embracea degeneracy?

No. Different congregations have different traditions. If you bow and no-one else does it just tells the other people at mass you're probably from a different congregation

Jesus sais the Father Himself works and is working.
Doing God's will involves works, especially works of charity. But these are fruits and effects of faith and love and faith is the cause of them, and faith itself is a gift of God.

Ignore this. The General Instruction for the Roman Missal clearly says

> A bow of the head is made when the three Divine Persons are named to gether and at the name of Jesus, Mary, and the saint in whose honor Mass is celebrated.

>Seeking to put an end to various attempts to roll back the reform of the liturgy introduced by the Second Vatican Council, Pope Francis this morning stated unequivocally that “the reform of the liturgy is irreversible.”
>Source: archive.is/P2fTU
Enjoy your fucking clowns Masses.

Nobody in their right mind believed a future Pope was going to 'reverse' anything. The Latin Mass will grow organically by attraction. The vernacular will remain permissible, don't know many who are saying it should be declared illicit

>when you here clapping at the end of mass

St. Paul teaches that the rock is Jesus Christ:
>And all ate the same supernatural food and all drank the same supernatural drink. For they drank from the supernatural Rock which followed them, and the Rock was Christ.
>1 Corinthians 10:3-4

Even St. Peter, in his own words, teaches that the rock/stone (KEPHA in Aramaic, the language that Jesus spoke) on which Jesus will build his Church is Jesus Christ himself:
>Come to him, to that living stone, rejected by men but in God’s sight chosen and precious; and like living stones be yourselves built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
>1 Peter 2:4-5

Gtfo degenerate

>The liturgy is now allowed in the vernacular. The Church is finished
>Your whole church is the whore of babylon anyway

In 1309, the seat of the Papacy was moved from Rome to Avignon (France). Seven Popes were seated in Avignon until the seat was moved back to Rome in 1377. The entire justification for papal supremacy is based on the claim that the Pope is the Bishop of Rome with an unbroken line of succession of Bishops of Rome from St. Peter (the first Bishop of Rome)... Except that line of succession was broken nearly seven centuries ago during the Avignon Papacy. The Papist Church is a false church.

...

I love an obviously false meme as much as the next guy, but at least give Sup Forums some credit

...

...

But then renaming Simon to Peter makes no sense at all.

Furthermore,Christ also told saint Peter to feed His flock and confirm them in the Faith.

when i get confirmed as an adult will the biship ask me a hard question or do they not even do that anymore?

That's ridiculous. The Pope didn't stop being the bishop of Rome because he resided in Avignon.

What about this?
The cross of Saint Peter predates the upside down cross used by satanists.

The Pope uses saint Peter's cross sometimes. Saint Peter was crucified upside down because he did not believe he was worthy to suffer the same manner of death as his beloved and divine Master.

Six pointed stars are found in some of the oldest churches. They may not even intend a reference to Judaism in those cases, but even if they did, it may serve or intend to remind the Church of her holy roots in the Apostles, prophets and patriarchs from Abraham on to Christ.

Nothing you won't know. But I'm glad to know you're on the way to confirmation user.

These are the effects of confirmation as per the Catechism

1302 It is evident from its celebration that the effect of the sacrament of Confirmation is the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit as once granted to the apostles on the day of Pentecost.

1303 From this fact, Confirmation brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace:
- it roots us more deeply in the divine filiation which makes us cry, "Abba! Father!";
- it unites us more firmly to Christ;
- it increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us;
- it renders our bond with the Church more perfect;
- it gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross:

Recall then that you have received the spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of right judgment and courage, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear in God's presence. Guard what you have received. God the Father has marked you with his sign; Christ the Lord has confirmed you and has placed his pledge, the Spirit, in your hearts.
1304 Like Baptism which it completes, Confirmation is given only once, for it too imprints on the soul an indelible spiritual mark, the "character," which is the sign that Jesus Christ has marked a Christian with the seal of his Spirit by clothing him with power from on high so that he may be his witness.

1305 This "character" perfects the common priesthood of the faithful, received in Baptism, and "the confirmed person receives the power to profess faith in Christ publicly and as it were officially (quasi Ex officio)."122

On phone and can't post much but God bless you OP and posters here.

Pic related is the Paul VI Audience Hall in the Vatican with the Pope seated at the mouth of the head of a snake

>he hasn'r read cardinal newman
>he doesn't believe shakespeare was catholic
Topcuck

Here's a close up view of the demonic sculpture behind the seat of the Pope

Even from the exterior the Paul VI Audience Hall in the Vatican unambiguously looks like a snake's head

Threadly reminder: we are in a divisive, heterodox and usually antichristian environment. Denominations that are distant cousins elsewhere are like brothers here. Anyone who is of Nicene or Apostolic Creed (this excludes Jehovah Witness, Mormons, etc) deserve our peace and support. Fedoras, gaytheists and neopagans are our enemies. You know what to do :-)

>going back to town church I used to go when I was a kid
>tfw one of the aisle burned in a fire and the rest of the church is close to ruins, with stones falling from the ceiling and stuff
Guess (((they))) would rather give subsidies to the football club

It's the arising of Christ from Hell. How is it demonic?

However, this I'm not sure the point of. Spooky, I guess, but it hardly says anything.

According to the Code of Canon Law, a bishop must reside in his own diocese and cannot be away from it for a period longer than one month nor be absent from it on Christmas Day, Holy Week, Easter Sunday, Pentecost, or Corpus Christi:
>Can. 395 §1 The diocesan Bishop is bound by the law of personal residence in his diocese, even if he has a coadjutor or auxiliary Bishop.
>§2 Apart from the visit 'ad limina', attendance at councils or at the synod of Bishops or at the Episcopal Conference, at which he must be present, or by reason of another office lawfully entrusted to him, he may be absent from the diocese, for a just reason, for not longer than one month, continuously or otherwise, provided he ensures that the diocese is not harmed by this absence.
>§3 He is not to be absent from his diocese on Christmas Day, during Holy Week, or on Easter Sunday, Pentecost and Corpus Christi, except for a grave and urgent reason.
>§4 If the Bishop is unlawfully absent from the diocese for more than six months, the Metropolitan is to notify the Holy See. If it is the Metropolitan who is absent, the senior suffragan is to do the same.

Looks more like an Owl to me. Maybe it represents the Owl of perdition one of the thousands of protestant setcs are sure to have predicted

What is your opinion on SSPX btw, what about sedevacantists?

Notice the two fangs at the mouth rather than one beak. Also the exterior appearance removes all doubts.

O muwahhidin, rejoice, for by Allah, we will not rest from our jihad except beneath the olive trees of Rumiyah

>What is your opinion on SSPX btw
LeFebvre was a hero who was raising the alarm of the incredible abuses by the Leftist Curia who were just jettisoning dogma in the name of Vatican II, which even the Council didn't officially approve of.

>what about sedevacantists?
Schismatics who took shit too far.

"Anti-Semitism" can mean a lot of things, though. To a Jew, it often simply means any criticism directed at Jews. Calling out the evil the Jews as a group love to perpetuate is what falls on us as a duty, not a sin.

I like the SSPX & pray for them to be in full communion with the Church ASAP. It's an unsual situation in the sense they can hear confessions, officiate & weddings & ordain priests, yet still aren't in full communion.

I'd heartily recommend Abp Lefebvre's Letter to Confused Catholics

Yes, their situation is quite confusing to say the least. I'm kind of interested about them, most of the french priests ordained come from the SSPX and the number keeps increasing so surely they are doing something right

>the snake photo is a matter of lense perspective.
False

If you're going to Mass regularly in France, odds are you don't want to deal with the Postmodernist "Diversity/New age woo-woo" shit.

SSPX recognizes that people actually want to real thing.

You might find this interesting. Details the type of priests ordained in Frances. There is a huge shift to the traditional orders

>The changes also mean shifts in the overall picture. In 2010, French diocesan seminarians accounted for two-thirds (66%) of all seminarians preparing for the priesthood in France. With the foreign seminarians who studied for French dioceses, their share amounted to 80 per cent. The seminarians of the priestly communities of tradition accounted for 15.3 per cent of the total number. The Communauté St. Martin had a share of 4.7 percent.

>In 2017, the picture is clearly different: the French diocesan seminarists now account for only 58 percent of all seminarians who are covered. Together with the foreign seminarians for French dioceses, their share is 69.7 percent. The proportion of the priestly communities of tradition has increased to 18.8 per cent, and that of the Communauté St. Martin even to 11.5 per cent.

Islam fasest growing religion

I went to a mass at a different church 2000km away and they clapped. They don't clap at my church. I didn't know that was a thing.

The pope should know that authority should ensure by morally acceptable means the security of society and its members. It is the basis of the right to legitimate personal and collective defense. That's LITERALLY in the Catholic Catechism for the role of authority in relation to migration. The compilation of Catholic teaching.

Pope Francis not even giving a damn about Catholic Social Teaching here. What the hell.

We should be seeking homes for them within their land so to amend their displacement explicitly rather than simply make their displacement as comfortable as possible.
It is entirely insane and a poor political decision to immediately default to open borders and mass migration. There is more going on that this displacement and you ignore the dignity of the people who make up those neighborhoods that you head into if you do not seek to defend national security.

Yeah I think that was the article I read recently. I'll probably try to contact them when I have the time

As somebody who grew up Catholic, I really wish that the church would be what you all want it to be: A bastion of tradition, conservative values and a sort of bulwark against this modern & progressive craziness but the sad truth is it is the exact opposite. The church is filled with cowards who refuse to take a stand and would rather go along with the world to appear nice (see also: youtube.com/watch?v=NxrIjE-WNVA ) and to make sure that they are sure to not offend anybody. The rest are uber-liberal and hope that the church will "modernize" to go with the time. Something like SSPX is the exception and at this point might as well be a different denomination all together.
I don't understand how anybody can look at the state of the Catholic church today and not come to the conclusion that it is wholly devoid of the Holy Spirit.

What's with people who life their arms up as well?

I've notice people doing that, particularly with, "We lift them up to the Lord" is recited.

Seems very Evangelical/Pentacostal to me.

>monseigneur lefebvre pedohive

I attended a semi-English, semi-Dutch mass a couple of weeks ago and experienced this too, quite alot of people did it. Never experienced people clapping though, except for when something special is announced like a birthday.

I haven't missed Holy Mass once since I discovered a Church with traditional latin liturgy a about two months ago. The spiritual healing process is real.
