The last time a mass evacuation happened in Houston shortly after Katrina, hundreds died from heat stroke following a massive gridlock.
Now, that could have been avoided with proper planning and rolling evacuation orders a day or two in advance on top of manual traffic direction through multiple evac routes, but fuck if the mayor has any kind of intelligence to figure that one out in advance.
