if you're a white person living in an area that's prone to certain catastrophic natural disasters, the least you can do is prepare according. eg: live in a high rise, stay away from areas where water would accumulate, have supplies on hand, know your neighbors (and live in an area with cohesion where they give a fuck about you), know your exits.
