Ive been watching this show called 'American Ninja Warrior' for a few years now. It's a show in which contestants try to conquer the worlds toughest obstacle courses while striving to endure and finish with the fastest time so that they can qualify for a spot to move on to the next stage/episode/course until all are eliminated or one wins the show for a million $. Seems fair. Unfortunately, a recent change to the show has corrupted what it means to qualify and progress.
Over the past two to three seasons, the show has attempted to promote its female contestants as a part of its core marketing campaign; despite the fact that they'd always fall short of qualifying due to their times/lack of distance covered on the courses. So, to counter act losing marketing material after large investments have been made on the female contestants, they reserved spots for them all the way through to the final stage; and to preserve their marketability as core advertisement assets, they refer to them as equals when comparing their physical prowess to that of the males. All they have to do is put in enough effort to complete half of what the men do and they get to coast along to the finale while being praised for their 'inspiring courage'.
It all feels like a farce that makes me want to hurl. Face it people, women are weak, and men shouldn't have to deal with a disadvantage simply because of another casual pc narrative. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for athletic women but allowing shit like this to continue is an insult to masculinity.
It's more they compete among other women because the top 5 women from each regional make it. Sometimes a woman completes the first stage or places really high but there are probably three of them that could even hope to do that well
Jason Kelly
It's like cheerleading there's no real point to it, but I'd do her
Christopher Gutierrez
Can't tell if she's got some popeye-style biceps or if that's just arm fat being squished against the pole.
Ethan Watson
To be fair, the women's world record in the bench-press is 457lbs/207.3kg, which is quite a bit, though obviously it's not competitive with the top men. But most males will never come close to benching that much in their lives.
Nolan Turner
Sure, they compete amongst themselves for the reserved spots but it still doesn't stop them from getting farther in the contest than men who got further on the same course
Joseph White
girls are warriors, get over it
Christopher Sullivan
>arm fat being squished against the pole it's arm fat user >t. trainer
John Murphy
Certainly, but at least those women have been placed into their own league without special accommodations
Parker Young
What weight class? If women get fat enough it throws off their normal hormones and gives them a t boost.
Justin Hill
No, they're posers.
Sebastian Morgan
The top weight class in women's lifting is 90kg, which is a bit more than 198lbs. I think the woman who holds the title is somewhere around 110kg, or c. 240lbs.
Oliver Powell
That HAS to be a man.
Jaxon Evans
Okay but you are saying women should be equal to men in this regard which is the opposite of what you a preaching.
Women compete against women and men compete with men.
Lincoln Watson
I mean women are infact biologically weaker than men they produce 27% muscle in their bodies. So this whole bullshit that women are strong isn't true.
Angel Miller
equal pay for '''''''''equal'''''''' work
Joseph Jenkins
>female contestants as a part of its core marketing campaign
You just answered your own question, user. The reason the show's (((creators))) cater to women by deceptively presenting them as badasses is because women WATCH ($$$) the show and that's what today's women want.
Julian Powell
That's not the case in this situation because in the end they're all going for the same one and only prize in the same contest
Anthony Gonzalez
That's one fine ass
Cameron Wright
They could solve this by making an American Kunoichi variant of Sasuke (Ninjew Warrior)
Jaxson Sullivan
Because most males won't be on nearly as much test and androgens as that "woman" is clearly on.
Elijah Smith
Are you a single mom too Op ?! I see single moms everywhere I'm not use to it we should burry them under LGBT or something..
Landon Hill
No shit. What question? Those 3 paragraphs are a statement.

my wife and i used to watch this show for a few seasons. my biggest problem with this show is that the obstacles in a lot of cases are pretty gender specific. most of the them require a ton of upper body strength that most women just can't obtain. the biggest issue is that a lot of the obstacles require you to be a certain height that most women aren't going to be.
they'll show these dudes that have spent like 1-4 years training for the show, and they wind up failing because they are manlets, and then they get some walk-up guy that's never trained in his life and makes the obstacles look easy as fuck because he's 6'4 and just hops through them.
this season we didn't even bother.
Asher Phillips
Welcome to life since humanity began.
Anthony Long
Yeah but in the final stage the one with the fastest time will win the prize. They arent gonna say well the girl completed it too so we are giving it to her.
James Gomez
Well you must be new. You don't seem to fucking understand. The point it, you seem confused as to why the show promotes women as superheros and I told you why. If you understood what's going on you wouldn't bother coming to Sup Forums and writing up your faggy, whiny post in the first place. Grow up ya fucking idiot,

Ikr. Literally, it's only the first obstical, a balance/agility thing, and the warped wall that are pure lower body. No wonder the first guy to win the show was some forearm mutant.
Kayden Kelly
Jessie Graf holds her own. Try again next time sweetie
Christian Smith
What makes I don't understand why they do it. I just think it's shit that they do it in a way that's unfair for the other contestants. Go back to your tumblr page and answer non-existent questions there.

>American ninja warrior Utter garbage. The original Japanese show is so much better it's not even funny.
Daniel Brooks
>I've been watching this show called 'American Ninja Warrior' for a few years now. >It's a piece of shit and a waste of my time, but I kept watching anyway >I like giving (((them)) my money >Recently they started showing more women! >I'm going to post a comment on the Internet about how stupid the show is >I preferred it when they only showed men
Xavier Nelson
In the actual Ninja Warrior, they had a course just for women and it was easy to the point that too many people would win and it got boring.
Gabriel Cooper
>to be fair why even bring it up?
Oliver Bell
Tru Correction, I preferred it when they held everyone to the same standards without special accommodations for a gender
Christopher Collins
To be fair. It's because I can
Brody Jones
Ban Mulan!
Kayden Wood
American Ninja Warrior is dumb. There's a reason that in Japanistan they have Sasuke for the men and Kunoichi (which focuses less on strength and more on things like balance) for the women. Two different courses, full segregation.
Also there's never any reason to watch Burger Faggot Warrior over Sasuke anyway.
Noah Walker
If youve competed in any sport at a reasonable level you don't think this. t. Ex-national level hurdler and long time combat sport fag

God dammit Americans just do what they do with every sport: segregate the bloody sexes and to make sure that people watch the women's section have it take place before the men's. It's not that hard.
Daniel Hughes
For real, don't half ass it and follow through.
Mason Thompson
not really. women's lib is rare in history because every civilization that's ever tried it either failed to do it, got conquered, or went extinct.
Christopher King
Manlets have the advantage because the are all body weight exercises
Bentley Powell
I like that show and I enjoy watching the girls compete. They're obviously at a disadvantage being women which makes what they're doing more impressive to me.
The fact that they have to compete on the exact same course as the men rather than having their own course or being put in their own league makes it one of the few athletic events where you actually get to see men and women being asked to live up to the same athletic standard and predictably the men are better. None the less the girls are doing shit that I wouldn't stand a chance at.
You need to loosen the fuck up OP.
Nathaniel Powell
Catch a clue man, they aren't being held to the 'same standard' anymore with these new 'qualifying women' spots. It only serves to make it easier for them. It doesn't matter if they can 'do stuff you only dream of doing'. That's irrelevant because I'm not comparing your physical ability to theirs, I'm comparing theirs to that of their competitors. I'm sure that if the average male committed to the same goal of becoming extremely fit like most of these women they'd be able to do much more.
Eli Cruz
>I'm sure that if the average male committed to the same goal of becoming extremely fit like most of these women they'd be able to do much more.
Yeah, if you spent 40 hours a week busting your ass doing weight training, cardio, agility training and batshit obstacles then you could probably do better than the women.
But you didn't do that training and that's the point dingus. The girls had to train their asses off to do what they're doing with the bodies they were born with. And clearly their physical potential isn't as high as the men's is; but reaching your maximum potential is what athletics is all about.
>they aren't being held to the 'same standard' anymore with these new 'qualifying women' spots.
That ends next week dude.
They wanted to have some women to compete in the final so they added a few extra slots for them. Now they have the same course sitting in front of them.
Ian Carter
Your still missing the point user. It doesn't matter if it ends next week, it happened, everyone wasn't being held to the 'same standards' (as you claim they were) because of it.
William Rivera
>men shouldn't have to deal with a disadvantage that's where you're wrong, kiddo. Men should have thought about that before growing a dick. Pussy magic is real. Put up or shut up if you cant compete with one.
Xavier Clark
>Pussy magic is real You must do a lot of lsd ay lmao
Isaac Torres
There's a simple solution to this really. Just have two contests held at the same time, one for men and one for women. This way each can compete with their own sex at their own level of competence.
Nicholas Diaz
honestly im really curious how real competitive women who actually care about stuff like this think. what an insult to the people who don't want an unfair advantage and just want a level playing feed to compete in. any chicks want to chime in on this and enlighten me how this doesn't make them extremely upset.
Nathan Jenkins
I don't watch this shitty show because it stinks of reality tv-like deception and an outlet for trust fund faggots to show off.
Liam Powell
Not exactly to the final stage which is S4, but Vegas at S1. 2 women legitimately made the Top 15 for Vegas this year, but yeah. Only two have cleared S1 on ANW, and one hasnt aired yet.

The amount of men that can bench that is higher soooooo
Samuel Perry
>Jessie Graf holds her own. Try again next time sweetie Anecdotal.
Jonathan Peterson
>Put up or shut up if you cant compete with one. I hope you are talking about the women.
Colton Martin
How is that a point? So you're going to compare a career weightlifter with an average person but not with other career weightlifters?
Ethan Phillips
tfw in 20 years when trannys hold every 'womens' sports world record. What a glorious day it will be!
