Are you a big enough guy to deliver 50,000 tons of TNT into Kim's boipucci?
>THE United States has carried out a second test of a bomb, described as the most dangerous nuclear weapon ever produced, as tensions with North Korea escalate.
>US authorities confirmed the test was successful and the B61-12 gravity bomb is expected to go into production within three years. ... The B61-12 gravity bombs were 'inert' but they were dropped from F-15E fighter jets at Tonopah Test Range in Nevada on August 8, the National Nuclear Security Administration said. ... The tests were intended to check the bomb’s “non-nuclear functions and the aircraft’s capability to deliver the weapon.” ... Despite the weapons' nuclear capability being disabled the message to Kim Jong-un's North Korea could not be clearer. ... A statement from the NNSA said: “B61-12 gravity bombs, without a nuclear warhead, were dropped from F-15E fighter jets at Tonopah Test Range in Nevada on August 8. The tests were intended to check the bomb's 'non-nuclear functions and the aircraft's capability to deliver the weapon.” ... blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ...
But wait - there's more.
>50 big fat kilotons
>Military experts believe the weapon's accuracy and variable power reduces the risk of collateral damage and potential widespread civilian casualties.

Sounds cool, but where the hell does the US even test it's nukes?

>US TESTS MOST DANGEROUS NUCLEAR WEAPON >HERES A VIDEO ABOUT NON NUCLEAR BOMBS >HERES A PICTURE OF NAGASAKI ALMOST 100 FUCKING YEARS AGO >WOOOOSH WOOSH HERES SOME PLANES FOR WOW FACTOR >#NEWS
sage for being a faggot
Nathan Powell
>most badass nooks bro Great... So tomorrow we can expect Russa to drop a bigger, better version?
Dylan Parker
>'most dangerous nuclear weapon ever produced'
most dangerous? the fuck? i'm not even sure if it's the most dangerous the US even currently has, nvm what they used to have.
Christian Parker
made directly from our blueprints
James Long
>50 kiloton nuke
hiroshima and nagasaki were 10 and 15 kiloton bombs. nevermind thermonuclear weapons which range in the 100s of kilotons to megatons. This is a wimpy bomb compared to most of what we have in our arsenal.
Ryan Cook
Cold war's over, bro. Russia doesn't have the manpower and resources to be building nuclear weapons. It's spending what ever finite money it has on frivolous luxuries like drinking water and electricity.
Can't allow another 30 million to die, ya know.
Jayden Peterson
and that's the point, US needs to expand its low yeld nuclear capabilities to match Russian "small bombs"
Michael Cooper
50 kilotons? That's fuck nothing. The Trident missiles are 450kt, the tzar bomba was 50mt, and it's believed they created a 100mt tzar bomba (but never tested it)
Cooper Nguyen
United States is too cucked to deal with North Korea. This is empty posturing. And issue with empty posturing and chest beating is that it erodes the weight of your words.
Austin Cook
>a 100mt tzar bomba (but never tested it) yfw this was smuggled to east coast of united states
Adam Gutierrez
This, the Trident II missiles you cunts have plastered at every corner of the globe carry 455-475kt icbm's with a range of 12,000km. You could destroy every capital city in 45 minutes.
Owen Morales
Yeah, not just the capitals, the lower case cities too
Caleb Hill
Lol wut, they likely dismantled it because it's a waste of fucking resources. Also there was no way to deliver the payload without killing the pilots; they had enough trouble figuring out the logistics during the original 50mt drop.
Tyler White
North ikeas nuclear tech is 40 years out of date. I don't know why people give them more credit than they deserve. The US could easily counter an attack.
Lucas Butler
>only 50kt They didn't say most powerful. They meant dangerous. As in it's extremely accurate and can easily be tuned from 50kt to 0.3kt, so the risks of POTUS deciding to use it are a lot higher. You'd only use 50Mt weapons in full on WW3. These you might be tempted to use in a regional war.
Dominic Cruz
I thought we banned nuclear testing?
Hudson Garcia
50 fat kilotons, the bomb that was dropped on Hirishima was 20 kilotons, ky user u massive faggot.
>Sounds cool, but where the hell does the US even test it's nukes?
A gravity bomb is any bomb that has no propulsion system and no wings. A JDAM is a gravity bomb too. Concerning the question about testing nukes, the US hasn't tested a nuke since 1992. What it does do is test their nuclear bombs and missiles without a warhead. In this case that was done at Tonopah test range in Nevada.
Their just going to test nukes and do nothing it's a dick measuring contest
Dylan Sanchez
The B61 is as old as dinosaurs. The 12 just denotes it's the 12th variant. It's still an old bomb delivery device with just a few upgrades. Kinda like how the B52 has been around since 1952 but it's just been upgraded a bunch,
50 kilotons is nothing as well. Yeah it's bigger than the WW2 bombs but compared to our largest test, Castle Bravo which was 15 MEGAtons, this thing pales in comparison.
Matthew Thompson
The Russian Tsar Bomba is the most powerful nuke in history, at 50 Megatons.
Xavier Thompson
Isn't that Tsar Bomba level?
Liam Gray
Tsar was 100,000,000 tons of TNT. Which they dialled down to 50,000,000. The one USA is talking about is 2000 times weaker.
Levi Richardson
...

Didn't they have the tech for a stratospheric drop at the time?
Ryder Jackson
Man, I fucking love 40s and 50s era American military stuff. Something about nuke tests that make me feel so cozy.
Ayden Garcia
No, Ivan didn't have that tech in 1961
Are you underage? It's a common expression; the four corners are north east south west. Every corner of the globe, means, the globe in it's entirety.
Nathan Rogers
They dropped it from some shit box bomber from 10km up and floored it.
Austin Watson
>50 big fat kilotons You do realize that that is really small for a nuke, right? The biggest nuke was 50 MEGAtons, the nukes currently used by the US are something like 20 megatons. For comparison Fat Man was a whopping 21 big fat kilotons.
Daniel Long
Most dangerous nuclear weapon ever produced by the US, not worldwide. This triggers my propagandas.
John Jones
I'm onboard with flat earth but nukes likely exist.
Isaiah Stewart
>Avoid civil collateral damage So what the fuck is the point of that nuke then?
Kayden Rogers
Bunker buster. A davy crockett is literally just enough to level the one of the norks stadiums. This variable yield with current tech can bust bunkers deep into earth.
Josiah Adams
>"Most dangerous non-nuclear bomb"
Can't you faggots read. Also why do they say nuclear in the title but proceed to say non-nuclear in the the text. Oh it's CNN never mind.
