Ok, to make a long story short, I work for a team within the White House, tasked with creating "press packets" for the mainstream media. I guess you could say we are an underpaid, over-glorified PR team. Anyways, as of a few hours ago, we were informed that the POTUS has assembled a team of special investigators, tasked with investigating Mosques that are presently funded by the Saudis. As of this writing, there are several hundred known Mosques that are currently funding or involved in international terrorism. The majority of them are located in the mid-west; notably Michigan. This is going to be a huge story once the FBI has sufficient PC to conduct raids. Even before such raids have been carried out, we are already spinning the story to make it seem less than it really is. It has been absolute anarchy here as of 2-2:30 PM EST.

Saudi arabia is still a useful political ally and this is just a case of realpolitik in action. Saudi arabia cannot be demonized into an enemy in the eyes of the american public, despite them acting in every way like an enemy of the american people.
Why might that be? Could be anything from saudi arabia bribing the right people in government, to being too useful an ally in the middle east to throw away. It does speak volumes to America's inept foreign policies though, that their "allies" would actively work against them like this.
