Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage.
What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:

Socialism is a necessary step towards posadism though: the one and only true hope for humanity. Many innocents will need to be sacrificed, and many more must suffer for this genus to attain its next phase in evolution. Humanity needs a healthy community to survive, so we need to care not for what the capitalists might feel as inferiority to their current conditions, for workers socialism is undoubtedly better:

She gets a once and for all rise in income through redistribution, but economic growth does not stop, so she will continue to enjoy rising earnings year by year.

Full-out socialism isn't going to happen anytime soon at this rate. Western bourgeoisie are too comfortable with their comfy, unjust lifestyles. That's why it's critical to invest as many resources as we possibly can into underwater human habitats, and subversively destabilize terrestrial politics to bring the inevitable nuclear war to cleanse the Earth and move onto the next phase of human evolution. Then and only then can true communism be achieved.
