Not a defense of circumcision, but I would just chime in that circumcision, while barbaric and crude, doesn't actually affect the pleasure one receives from sex. Meanwhile, female genital mutilation actually cuts the clit out of the girl's vagina, completely cutting off her ability to feel any pleasure from sex. Also, female gential mutilation doesn't just make girls unable to have pleasure from sex, it completely kills off their capacity to orgasm, so even if they wanted to rub one out they can't. This is completely false. Circumcision slices off roughly 50% of the skin of your penis including the most sensitive parts that feel the most sexual pleasure. This has been known for a very long time and was the entire point of doing it for many people, in fact the reason it's done in the US is because Kellogg (yes, the cereal guy) popularized it as a cure for masturbation during the Victorian era, and it still persists today because the doctors make a killing off of using baby foreskins for cosmetics. It also destroys the gliding action of the penis and causes keratinization of the remaining skin desensitizing it even further. On top of that there's no way to know how much skin to take off so many circumcisions are too tight and give the man pain every time he gets an erection. Also, depending on the form of female genital mutilation it can range from comparatively much less harmful than circumcision (done often in parts of SE Asia) to basically removing everything (done in some really shithole countries). No point in comparing them though as both are horrible and we shouldn't be mutilating our children anyways.
