Russia has more Muslims because Russia conquered Muslim regions. Majority of their Muslims are Bashkirs and Tatars who are totally integrated.
There's also Chechens and various Dagestanis who are problematic but they are in their own regions and not that numerous.
There's also Central Asian immigrants, but those are not citizens but seasonal workers.
Russians don't really have a Muslim problem.
