too much pic releated

they gay

They're already in college debt and too busy fighting to get the minimum wage increased until they can pay it off.

I'm a millenial and I would have to work for 40+ years with my current cost of living factored in to afford a home in my area

because living in a jewish slave box isn't what people want

no emone

census.gov/content/dam/Census/newsroom/c-span/2015/20150130_cspan_youngadults.pdf

saving up for ride to mars would be my guess

mostly due to an artificially inflated property market in most big cities, but also due to the fact that millennials are bad with finances generally and waste money of pleasure (luxury clothing, cosmetics, overseas travel etc.)

No money after the avacado toast

THANKS TRUMP

whats wrong with renting? I wan dem sweet duckits now, yo!

parking $16, Avocado on toast $14 , covfefe $4, *2 = $68 dollars for breakfast ,no wonder you have no money to buy a house

>school debt
>no good jobs
>another housing bubble in most urban areas where there actually are some good jobs(all of which are in tech)
>boomers won't retire or put their homes on the market

...

I just bought a home and can confirm I have never purchased avocado

I'm 27 living in Austin TX and I refuse to attach myself to this shitpit of a city. Leasing until I'm ready to move onto better horizons.

because the rentier class has a strangle hold on land and captures community created wealth via ground rents

Why not move somewhere cheaper
I've been working for about 7 years and make 30k/yr (would be more if I didn't change careers after moving)
In Johnson County Kansas I can afford to live in a sizeable single room apartment (675$ per month with water, gas and electric), spend a couple hundred on groceries per month for myself, a couple hundred on fun, and put away a huge amount of money. Don't tell me you fell for the commiefornia meme

Read a post of leddit that was pretty good

Basically, after the last crash, banks bought all the houses, and turned them into investment properties they don't intend to sell, just milk for rent.

Supply decreased, demand did not.

Because they are fucking dumb brats who live in the moment instead of planning for the future and they constantly spend all their money on new experiences so they have something interesting to post on instagram.

>mfw 23
>mfw still in school
>mfw Cook County property tax
>mfw Cook County taxes
>mfw Cook County

Owning a house has never interested me.

Tax land not man

What's wrong with avocado toast?

Enjoy your ever increasing rent while you pay someone else's mortgage you nit wit.

t. Millennial

...

Why do you have to bring up this question every day? You have 365 days of answers to a simple question.
Go back through them.

this

Nothing, if avocados were cheaper in the US
At walmart even, you have to spend close to 1$ for a half pound avocado that is 33% pit.
There is a reason they charge 11$ for two slices of toast with avocado on top at cafes

They were dumb enough to go to college and get a worthless degree, and take on a mountain of debt to get it. The housing market is gonna collapse soon anyway.

Don't forget the cracked black pepper AND butter

Made 180k profit in 2 years after buying my house

I could go back to renting and have 15 years worth of rent paid for with money I literally did nothing for

ahh, I forgot, the free range butter from happy cows and fresh hydroponic peppercorn crushed in a mortar and pestle

Where the fuck is this? Seattle?

>listen kids you need a stem degree even though your degree doesn't really matter
>you'll fuck up your life if you don't go to college
>omg you didn't get the RIGHT stem degree
>omg why did you go to college that was stupid

Yeah, Seattle

You're not putting away huge chunks of money on that budget. How?

Is the foundation made of pure gold?

If you want a real answer read pic related

Dont want to be locked into a place for 30+ years, plus taxes, maintenance, and etc are too much to worry about right now while i get my career in line

>doesn't know about paying in full
>doesn't know that you don't need a mortgage to own a house
brainlets are ruining this board

Are they putting something in the avocados? I see so much nu-males and hipster trash eating them. Maybe the spics are injecting estrogen into the avocados that they pick so that the gringos will vote for policies that let them into America.

christ that is lazily prepared. is it so hard to make guac?

I'm waiting for the market to crash. We're over due for one. Much rather wait for the prices to go down

Because we can't fucking afford them you prick

Thrift store toaster .99
Avocado even the expensive organic huge variety 1.99
Seasoning $5
Bread 2.99 for day old ciabatta loaf at local grocery.

Rounded up for taxes 12 fucking dollars for days worth of avocado fucking toast,

Are you millennial's fucking mental? or just too lazy to cut and toast bread.

Capitalist pigs are hoarding all of the wealth

because it takes enormous downpayment and very little goes to principle

inflation and taxes raised the standard of living on us, and the 2008 recession fucked up our job market when we needed it the most.

but the one at the cafe is better

This triggers the yuropoor

>4 beds 2.5 baths 3,150 sqft
>$129,900
zillow.com/homedetails/5503-Turfwood-Ln-Houston-TX-77088/28189413_zpid/

This triggers everyone that isn't a rural slob

How did you make money buying a house?? Did you just buy low self high?

That is not a slob house user

>Property taxes $3,052

>Houston
Kek

Bullshit
Get the fuck out of the cities the FDA loans require little to no down.

Yeah commuting sucks, but it's going to be the new normal.

you mean people who aren't oversocialized, reliant-on-government cucks?

Because it's too G-d damn expensive.

centris.ca/fr/maison~a-vendre~outremont-montreal?view=Thumbnail

Just look at these. How am I supposed to afford that when I have 4 kids and lots of bills to pay?

No, just people who live in cities where houses are wildly expensive

I have a loving and supporting extended family who I would never want to live apart from and most places that are cheap to live are epic shitholes. I attribute a solid chunk of my intelligence to being born and raised in an area of "prime" real estate regardless of whether I or my parents are homeowners.

Well, maybe it is

You must b the dumbest motherfucker alive

...

Because they are too stupid to move to areas with a low cost of living, incapable of gaining or using skills that are valuable to society so have no career, and don't know how to into finances/budgeting.

I don't feel bad for them.

>I buy homes with cash

Boomers crashed the housing market, made houses impossible to afford because of job outsourcing and student loan debt, and blame millennials for being lazy.

>G-d

>$339,900
>6 beds 4.5 baths 4,843 sqft

>Welcome to the William D FitzGerald House. This historic home was built in 1900. Much of the original ornate wood work remains in the home. The main kitchen has been nicely updated with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. There are wood floors through much of this home. The formal dining room is quite large with beautiful exposed beams and gorgeous built-ins. The laundry area is directly off the kitchen. Bedrooms, bath areas, sitting rooms and sun porches are generously provided throughout this home on the first two levels. There are 4 fireplaces/wood stoves. The basement is unfinished. There is an additional 1,750 sq ft of unfinished space on the 3rd floor. Many mature trees provide an abundance of shade as you relax or entertain on the wrap around porch. A triple garage was recently added to the property.

zillow.com/homedetails/1106-S-20th-St-Lincoln-NE-68502/6574879_zpid/

Because we live in our mom's basements, why bother buying a home? In fact, I do have my own house, I just don't live in it. I'd rather be in mom's basement.

The better question is why aren't people actually allowed to really own homes anymore? The vast majority are forced to mortgage a home for the majority of their lives. Why aren't houses more reasonably priced?

>suddenly everyone enters the trades and moves to rural areas
>suddenly trade jobs become highly competitive
>suddenly salaries drop from mass competition
>suddenly home prices rise
>suddenly rural areas are too expensive for regular rural folk

gee i wounder

Because i'm building my own. Not gonna pay over-inflated value on a collection of shit home depot sells that has been arranged in a certain way.

The real question is why has capitalism failed.

Boomers bought all of the homes and forgot to build new ones.

>cuckshed

Beautiful.

I don't think you can buy something like that anywhere in Quebec for a price that low! Would be so much easier to live in the United States I think

because we tax the wrong things comrade

NH master race

Good quote comrade, completely goes against capitalism which kicked out yeomen from their farmers and displacing them into big cities to work in factories.

Not only forgot to build them, started outright banning them to preserve property values

My liberal as fuck neighborhood is flush with lawn signs against allowing the construction of high-density apartment buildings that would actually make living in the area more affordable

Yeah it's actually pretty simple in the Greater Toronto Area. People keep moving further from Toronto as it keeps getting more expensive. Eventually it hits your city then the house prices skyrocket. Real estate is like a mushroom cloud here. Not sure if its like that in the US metro areas.

Are you part of the Free State project?

>implying I mentioned "the trades" in that post
>incoherent rambling thereafter from someone that failed econ

>wanting hive housing
nah mate

Because we never know when niggers are going to be forced into our neighborhoods via Section 8 and drive down our property values, sinking our investment.

Im not on your side pinko

Georgism is the solution not some marxist bullshit dogma

Because it isn't National Socialism. Much like (((communism))), (((capitalism))) doesn't work in the long term.

Because boomers fucked the house market beyond all recognition.

Then what magical skills do you think are marketable in areas with low cost of living?

HMMMM?!

>Capital is a result of labor
This is misleading, capital is the result of other people's labor.

Lincoln has a lot of cheap old homes

>5 beds 3 baths 3,055 sqft
>$269,900

>This Grand home sits in a quiet neighborhood on almost 1/2 acre of land just a short walk from downtown or UNL campus. The entire home has been restored back to it's original design and it's like having a new home, built in around 1910! This home is so large that it could lend itself nicely for a home business and you have everything you need to make the basement into a separate apartment to subsidize 1/3 of your mortgage. The home and yard stay cool almost all day, because of the large trees!

zillow.com/homedetails/1225-S-17th-St-Lincoln-NE-68502/6574663_zpid/

They're building plenty of new ones. The real mystery is how do the prices keep skyrocketing when there's so much development going on? Not to mention how cheaply built modern houses are, and the fact that wages have been stagnant for so long. Prices should be lower than ever.

who fucking cares you stupid faggot, we got more serious stuff to talk about apart from why millenials are faggots too

>t. Canadian abroad

would be like 80k in tx
kek

>literally in the middle of nowhere

I live on Jersey and earn 70k.
lel this is a downgrade for me

It's not that hard leaf, you don't have to live on Montreal. Laval is right across the river and you can just take the metro if you don't want to deal with the traffic. Or move a little further out and commute. C'est pas grave.

God damn avocado toast is some of the worst food I've ever had. You know what goes better on toast? Butter, jam, peanut butter, eggs, cheese, not avocados.
